I so loved watching Aaron pick out plants for the pots. I wish my husband would do something like that. I always get This is your hobby not mine Any way one question. I see you put trees in clay pots and the one by your chicken coop has been in that container for a long time. How do you know when you need to take it out? How do you get it out if you need to with out breaking the pots? Is it okay to leave them forever root bound?

How much do you fertilize your potted plants each week? I'm using a liquid kelp fertilizer, and mixing 1 or 2, 2 gallon watering cans for 4 large pots (small maple, ginko, lemon trees as well as some lemoncello supertunias, a blue lobelia, purple hyacinth bean vines, and cucumbers, they aren't nearly as full as any of your pots, but I do have 2 or 3 things in each one, and 2 small pots (geraniums.

The white butterfly on the heliotrope is not a moth. It is a cabbage white, so named because the caterpillars eat brassica. During the June garden tour of your veggie garden, you can see them all around your cabbage/broccoli plants. It was kinda magical lol. In that video you mentioned the green caterpillars eating the broccoli. those are the cabbage white butterfly caterpillars!

What kind of growth habit does heliotrope have? My daughter had found some heliotrope essential oil once upon a time, and I think she would love it if we could plant that one. I guess I should mention that I thought they kinda grew like bougainvillea, so that is why I'm curious what kind could be planted in a pot or smaller area.

Love your videos You and Aaron are such a inspiration to me and others. Thanks so very much! Did you get rid of the spider mites? I went on vacation for 2 weeks and they destroyed 4 rose bushes and a blue spruce. I tried everything but they won. We are removing bushes this week. Now on too deciding what to place in their place

I've always been a one plant per pot kind of girl & ngl, I like that you liked how it went: ) that is so different than your usual way of planting containers so I was curious how that would be for you once it was all said and done, excited to see you incorporating that style of planting into your amazing garden

Thank you Aaron for coming out to choose the planters. The time you guys had the competition where you chose the plants to put in pots and then we got to watch and even vote (i think) on our favorites was so fun and I have been hoping you would do that again. To see Aaron learn as we do is really neat to watch.

How would you treat ants infesting your pot? I have ants that are taking over a supertunia Silverberry pot with purple fountain grass in the center. Its looking terrible and dont know what to put on it
Your pots single and combination ones all look beautiful. Love that new lantana you showed us too.

I really liked Aaron's choices.
I'm going to have to start binge watching some of the older videos in January (for inspiration) so I can plan and budget my balcony more effectively. This year my plans have been a complete mess, and there's only one place left with any abundance of bedding plants.
