How I Deadhead Roses! Garden Answer Barbara: Love this video. Could you at some point list the names of all your roses? You did a video recently and named several and I wrote down the names but it was just a few. Id like to buy the ones that you have for my gardenjust like I buy all the other stuff you suggest LOL.
And WOWthe hollyhocks out front and the West Side Delphiniums with the pink roses. Totally gorgeous. I really hope you can do hollyhocks in a big cluster like that next year maybe somewhere else if they dont fit the front.

Thank you for this useful information. I had neglected my rose bushes for 13 years. This spring was the first time they ever gave me roses. I have cluster rose bushes and it was so lovely to see them finally bloom. I did fertilize them last year so I think thats why they bloomed this year. Anyhow, I will follow this new information so I can keep getting more roses in the following years.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Im a new rose grower and because we usually have a very wet rainy season along with winter/spring drought (Florida, I have put most of my new roses in pots (16-24-30) until I can see how they do with the weather. I admit that I have already lost a few plants, so is this something you would not recommend?

Just deadheaded my rose bushes. You gave me confidence I knew what to do. I do cleanse my tool between bushes due to rose rosette disease risks, among other potential issues. I just planted my first yellow rose David Austin this year. Don't want to risk any problems. It smells heavenly. It's fun to give the roses out to friends too.

Love your videos. Especially the thrift shopping ones with your mom. I do have a question your hair is beautiful is that because you never put it up in ponytail. I live in Charleston SC and when I go outside gardening I cant stand my hair down, its so hot. Whats your secret not to have it bug you while youre gardening?

We are just about to winter prune roses here in New Zealand and thank goodness for these videos! I'm saving this one for summer time but have learned to prune things from your videos alone and the garden has never looked so good! Love getting home from work and hearing 'hey guys! ' Makes my day!

Thank you so much! Im really hoping you can help on this question I havent been able to find an answer for so far. Everything Ive read says not to cut the main cane of a climbing rose. If thats the case, how do you deadhead the end of the main cane when it blooms at the end?

Hi Laura, will the Collette Roses and the Zephrine Drouhin Roses (both climbers) bloom all summer without dead heading? I would love your feedback on both of these roses. My Zephrine Drouhin Roses only bloomed once this spring even though I dead headed them. Thank you!

I have some drift roses that are beautiful neon looking because they are peach with a yellow inner part. They are beautiful but there are so many blooms that when they die it would take forever to dead head them but Im pretty sure dead heading isnt necessary.

Wow, thank you Laura for such a fantastic indepth video. My parents used to keep Roses, they had nearly 100 in their garden, but I never really got the hang of dead heading them but now with your video it has helped me understand how. Once again thank you.
