Planting Some Problem Shade Hanging Baskets in My Parents Garden! Garden Answer Autumn: Hello from the other side of Oregon. I love your videos and all of the wisdom that you impart. I started gardening a few years ago and constantly get compliments about my front gardens. My mom has been gardening for years and she said that I have a better green thumb than she does now. Something that I just realized in this video - The sound of the plant trays scooting across the bed of the truck or gator and the crinkle sound of the bags of soil are ASMR to me. It's like garden therapy when I'm inside. Thank you for all that you do to make this world a more beautiful place.

Laura that looks like a 14 basket. At work, I made up 90 baskets that were 16 diameter this Spring at work, and used 15 plants in each, (2 sufinias, 2 calibrachoa, 1 verbena, 1 bacopa, 1 golden helicrysum, 1 silver helicrysum, 1 golden lysmachia, 1 nepeta, 4 bush lobelia, and a peligolium centre piece, so they were pretty well packed in but apparently they perform for a good long season so I'm told by customers! I have that 16 size basket etched in my brain now! You made some really pretty baskets today for your mum. They look so lovely! Xx

Those baskets are GORGEOUS! Don't the Sunpatiens need more sun?
The back porch is so beautiful, love how your mom uses those pillars around the deck to block it off instead of deck railing. GORGEOUS!
Hope you catch her reaction to the baskets, she would be thrilled how they turned out.
Please do a garden tour of your parents yard, would love to see how the butterfly garden is doing, as well as an update to the other side of the pool you helped her plant.

Hi Laura! I find so much pleasure watching you! My job is super stressful and you are so calming! Anyway, quick question - when you did your Mom's baskets I noticed you put soil midway or so in the basket but didn't add more soil around each plant as you finished placing them. Is that because you use so many plants? Is it generally unnecessary? Enjoy the rest of your summer! Many blessings to you all!

Love what you did with those hanging baskets. I felt when ya said you'd repeat somewhere at your house. I was thinking the same thing! Oh and love your parent's pool. Which reminds me. Please update on the butterfly garden area behind the pool chairs! All the pretty yellow. Is your mom still searching for light yellow umbrellas? Curious.

There is something so relaxing about watching you plant such gorgeous containers, or watching you plant anything. I watch your videos to wind down at the end of the day, even though I live in a high rise apartment & haven't had a garden in years. (Maybe I will again someday: ) Thank you so much for sharing!

Hi Laura! I love your gardening tips and videos! Thanks for always sharing great ideas and loving us even though we can be quite the copy cats! When you were loading up your truck, I saw some PW cans on the left with not much in them. Are you growing some plugs of new plants from PW?
