Planting a Peaceful Centerpiece for the Hartley, Transplanting a Rose & Houseplant Fertilizing! What a great way to start my day is seeing Russell trying to sneak some snuggles from Laura. Russell has such a cute face and his personality is perrrfect for him. I fell in love with Russell stealing the camera shots while Laura speaks about that specific flower. His personality is so amazing it just keeps you watching for more to see what he would do.

i very much dislike the plastic saucers. What I love doing instead is going to thrift stores to find lovely plates to use under pots. they are usually pretty inexpensive and if they break, they are easy to replace. the plastic liners last maybe a year for me, but the plates last much longer. and if you're going for an aesthetic, dollar tree has white plates that are pretty cute considering what they would be used for and you can order in bulk online.

Hi Laura! Your space is absolutely gorgeous! I ve been watching your videos for the past few years and recently went back to the beginning (I m on season 3 now, and holy cow, what a transformation! You took an already beautiful space and made it even more gorgeous! Question: the climbing rose in this video got me thinking, have you decided on anything for the arch over the stone pathway yet? Excited to see what you choose for that space!

That rose replant raised all the red flags for rose replant at least she cut off the top growth. Please try to get more root, if it doesn't look like a bare root plant you'd accept then you haven't got enough root to give it a great chance to thrive. And don't just stick it in some crummy compacted soil with minimal digging. Good luck to it, thank goodness they're tough plants.

Hi Laura! I have a climbing rose that I need to move. It's about 3 years old and very prolific. Is it necessary to get all the roots and should I cut the top back as you did with this one? I know nothing about roses but they have become a favorite lately. Any tips on digging it up and when would be appreciated. Zone 8b

Ok my hack to help pots not scratch items isn t as easily moveable as yours. I love it Laura. I place a bead of clear caulking 1 to 1. 5 inches in on the pot. I let it fully dry and flip it over. You could make a few button type nub with the caulk a few places on the bottom. Just my hack. Love yours Laura.

Fun and relaxing day. I just want sit in the Hartley with a cup of tea! Can we get a tour of what is left in the high tunnel and greenhouse? I m interested to what and how things are being wintered over. I had some verbena winter in an unheated greenhouse and I have some trees I haven t planted.

The centerpiece is lovely. I had to laugh when Russell looked up close at the cyclamen that Laura was pointing out. When we make videos I reckon our pets think we are talking to them and showing things to them, when I make videos my dog seems to think I'm talking to him at times.

I bought four mounds of Irish Moss this past spring. They are my favorite purchase this year. They had delicate white flowers bloom all summer. I planted them along the front border coming into our house. They brought me a lot of joy. Fingers crossed they make it through the winter.

Enjoy watching and learning from your videos! It was fun seeing all 3 of the cats together! Lovely arrangement for the Hartley. I noticed the beautiful sumac in the background when you were planting the rose by the flower shed fence! It looked so big and in full autumn color!

Russel knows he outshines any flower. I also chuckle to myself about the asparagus fern. They grow like weeds in my country. At this time of year they are all festooned with frothy white blooms and red berries. Perfect Christmas colors, which will all be gone come Christmas.

I love it when you do this. Love Love Love it! Can t wait to see more
I will try this as well for my arrangement. I bet it smells great with that asparagus fern.
Thanks so much for sharing this, I really look forward to it. Russell said he wants to be seen. LOL

Loove your pond area! I used to have a big pond area at the back of my old house with frogs, newts and all kind of birds and critters. When will you start on the bare side where the Batsheba was? I apologize for all miss spelling! It is hard for me as autospell is in Swedish

Good morning, love your videos! I just heard you share your fish math you said there were initially 6 koi and one banded shark and he brought 4 more koi. I wonder if you are thinking 10 because it s 10 koi, the shark makes the total 11 if I understood you correctly.

Good morning that arrangement looks very expensive in fact I know in store price 100 or more! Thanks for the save on DIY also with fertilizer the ratio 10 drops per 2 or 3 gallons? never use that product will try in future. Hello kitties / kneepad thanks momma Laura

The kitty's are so sweet, well at least for this video! HA The Hartley looks beautiful, almost magical. Can you tell me, on the moss you used am I seeing things or are there some type of shoots coming out of it? If so, what are they? Thanks and have a great day!

While watering in the Hartley, I saw a little white disk/puck type thing. Is that for wifi? If so, which one is it and how well does it work? We are trying to get wifi to another part of the property and there are just so many options, its overwhelming!

beautiful rose - have you thought of getting a old green house frame and putting it over the blueberries and cover it with chicken netting, to stop birds eating the berries but let the pollinators in. you could make it pretty with lights and other ornaments.

Laura, you had 6 koi and 1 shark, and then Greg brought another 4 koi. So now you have 11 fish, 10 koi and 1 shark! I was thinking and thinking about it after the previous video and then it hit me! I love the centerpiece, it's perfect for the Hartley!
