I got somas last year and soaked for four hours before planting as directed but only one opened up and non of them grew to a bloom. Should I fig them up and replant them? I want to get s9me more from another plant vendor that I-ve had more success with and try again, they are so beautiful and I would really like to have s9me in my garden thank you for all your videos and teaching about plants, I just love them and they have helped me so much. I-m looking forward to a beautiful garden this year. It will only be a year old but I have planted the basics or will and have seedlings ready for some places too.

Hi, Danielle! Sarah here from New Holland, PA (zone 6B/7. I have known that some in our area start their Ranunc's in the early Spring, but I always plant mine out in late November, or early December. I use a low tunnel, similar to what you showed only with heavier weight fabric (1. 25 oz doubled. SO. when is your harvest window? Mine starts a week or two before Mother's Day (YAY, and lasts about 6-7 weeks total. Are the stems nice and long when early Spring planted? I wonder if I should plant both times for longer bloom time.

I've ordered ranunculus from Longfield Gardens that will arrive the week of March 21st. I'm in zone 7, and a nice lady from the company told me that I can soak them for a few hours when I receive them, and then just plant them straight out into the garden. I'm going to try it that way since my corms are arriving so late in March, and I didn't plant them in the fall like you mentioned. Do you think I can still have success with them doing it that way? Next fall, I will try to go ahead and get my corms in the ground so that I'll have flowers earlier the following spring.

It looks like you did not wet the soil when you put them out. Is overwatering an issue with these beauties? I really don't want to screw anything up! Thanks

I started mine in January- I'm in zone 5b, but last year I started them later in February to plant out in late April/May, but we got almost immediate temps in the 80s that zapped my spring flowers. Lots of my ranunculus didn't even bloom! We'll see what happens this year-

This is so helpful! I-m growing ranuncs for the first time in zone 6b Michigan and just finished planting them in pots after pre sprouting. I will plant them to the garden in late March. I can-t wait to see them. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Danielle, perhaps I have missed this question in previous videos, but what do you do with the plants after they have all been harvested? Do you dig them and them, or do they go to the compost pile?

My ranunculus sprouted in less than a week. This has been a big problem for me as it-s too cold outdoors and they-re over 4 inches tall now. Everyone-s pre-sprouting process can be different.
