Finally I get a glimpse of the lady who bakes the bread and has so many great ideas. She is completely beautiful and you are very lucky she was outgoing enough to ask you out. I don't know how many people comment about her but I've meant to say for a long time that I think she is crucial to you being able to realize your dreams and it was a special day when you walked into that bank and found that one special person among millions. :) Cali was hoot in this episode. She mustn't be very old because she behaves like a very large puppy and she's beautiful too. She made me laugh a lot.

Thank you for your openness and willingness to share life lessons. I too find it difficult to ask at times AND IM IN SALES! can you imagine. I typically work with your videos playing in the corner of my second monitor and upon hearing you talk about ASKING, I did just that. I tend to invest a lot of time upfront, supporting customers, Q&A, demos, whatever is necessary but when it's time to push for a contract, I'm passive. I don't have a problem with rejection necessarily, so thank you for the encouragement.

Cali! I love her! She's the same size as my shelter adopted golden mixed with Border Collie girl dog. Has a similar personality when she was a youngster.
These dogs can dig up that clay mixed with gravel stuff with their dog claws! I don't have that manly upper body strength I guess. My husband doesn't want her in the way when he's doing a digging project in the yard.
Me? Go Digging Dog! Yes! Thank you! LOL She's AWESOME!
I'd need a sweet dog with me in the woods: )

You are inspiring me so much. i did watch most of your videos. Im nearly 40 and worked and saved most of the times. I always said I will retire when Im 40 so Im there now. I lived most of my life in uk but planing to go back home -Eastern Europe. Wish I could have there your resources-game-forest-trees at my disposal. I believe each place have a different story and as long as you try to be self sufficient where you are is a good thing. Keep going mate

Your videos have been super helpful cause Ive always wanted to be able to build a house for my family so when people say I have a nice house I can say I build it with my own hands I learned how to do conventional framing when I was 12 with my uncle and we built a small shed out of logs but youve given be a lot more confidence. One question though did you just angle the top logs and nail the roof boards into them or did you have to do anything special?

OMG. Shane, you are an INSPIRATION. To man kind. I have been watching your vidoes for 3 days now and can't get enough. I'm a 70 year old Australian. I lived and worked in China for 8 years. I retired from teaching in 2013 and came to live in Vietnam. I live in Vung Tau, by the beach but I'm currently having a home built in the mountains, in Da Lat. Like YOU I'm having it built to my OWN taste. Thank you so much for your entertaining videos

I'm going back. WAY back now and watching videos that are 2 yrs old and more. I'm glad I did 'cause I missed some impt. things. Like this picture you shared with us of your family. I never saw that. It's a better photo of your wife b/c it's larger than the one on the front porch of the cabin with you both in your winter clothes. But I'd recognize that pretty lady anywhere.
