A short introduction to my fall rainbow trout excursion. I decided to make use of the break in the deer bowhunt to pursue some stocked rainbow trout in a Northern lake.
I was blessed with above average temperatures that reached into the 20's C which is balmy for early November
Martina: well you know how you and Jeremy went ice fishing with a hot tent directly on a lake and you guys had melted water on the floor of your heated tent. you said you pitched the hot tent on the lake ice because the banks were so sloped. that there wasnt flat ground on the banks to pitch the hot tent on. well why dont you come to this lake with a hot tent, ice fish and pitch your hot tent on these banks? looks like good flat banks here at this lake to me. better with dirt as a tent floor than water isnt it? do those big rainbow trout hang around and bite when this lake is frozen-over? to me, on video this is a nice looking lake! looks fun to me hot tenting it with a good dry dirt floor and then walking out on the ice to ice fish. no dragging fire wood out there on the lake either. man that sounds like a nice early 2019 hot tent ice fishing trip / video series to me!
