Watch my tipi fire is best. It will keep you from disaster. Dad said never go in the bush without your rifle & if you take a shit don't leave it leaning out of reach as just when you least expect it mr griz will be between you & it. Don't fool yourself on black bears! A fellow back home was eaten by an average one last year laying beside his fire. There is tons of water maybe fish are under bank & being on deep! side just hanging over a tad so no spook them with 5 ft willow. Or maybe no fish much in that creek.

Awesome shots of the beaver thanks! Marmot tent. Nice tent! I bought the Mountain Hardwear 3. 5 Optic tent. I just got it a few days ago. Also the footprint. I see you have the footprint for your tent too. How does your tent hold up to rain? I guess in June ending when you went you would not have needed a sleeping bag. Just a mat? You must have been hot with all that clothing on to protect you from the bugs. Thanks for sharing!

Anyone else swatting at bugs that ain't there and itching for no explainable reason? .good God it's like Vietnam without the smell of napalm in the morning or the leeches. I definitely would've packed in a thermacell and spray. that's good weight that has saved my ass many days of torture more than once!

Hey man, nice solo adventure. What is your opinion on incorporating a compact 22lr rifle on trips like these. Do you think it would be a useful tool in foraging for small game, or do you think it will weigh too much (+ammo) and is unnecessary? Do you think it is safe to eat squirrel or beaver meat?

What! Was that venison? I know it was, served with trout and rice that will stick to your ribs! Sweet footage of the beaver, I bet he has never even been bitten by a Mosquito Haa! Looks like you need some itch cream those bloody bastards are going to drink you dry!

I spent a day at a lake in Alaska and the black flies were so thick we couldn't fish. the Dolly Vardens were biting like crazy but it was so crazy with flies we couldn't see. to cast, so we left the flies to their meal and fled the area.

If your at mosquito creek Ohio, you might catch a boot or someone's trash. Too many factories dump their waste water and chemicals in there. Even if you did catch something, I wouldn't attempt to eat your catch

Nice morning, and the bugs didn't seem so bad. Blackflies are deterred by a fire and smoke but mosquitoes don't seem to mind a fire. Small beaver are most curious, the adults do seem to be more cautious.

The morning with the slight fog on the water while the birds are chirping looked beautiful. There is just something special about being out on the water right at the start of the day. Great Video!
