A lot of great advise, how to poop in the woods for those that don't know, how to check out the terrain to figure out the depth of the water, and how vital snowshoes are in the deep woods. You said you didn't bath in the cold lake water, seems you had a bath! haha Note: on the purple pants, I was thinking it's warm and you really don't care what people think of you cause youre just that manly!

You-re rib discussion in the tent about hierarchy of experience and testing your metal. honestly Has to be the best explanation of coming of age and learning from the elders as I have ever heard before. I feel that an explanation on this topic of that caliber, should be taught and repeated to as many young people, boys and girls, as possible

excellent vid and life saving content: ) In a survival situation the colour of your pants is the least important detail unless your trying to evade capture: . Seeing you fall through the ice and how you dealt with it as a team was also truely inspiring and swift: . Thank you for sharing your experiences: ) UK.

For hill climbs and descents like in this video series you may want to consider packing a hand operated winch aka a -come-along. - That will make getting the sled packs up hill WAY easier and it will make guiding the sled packs down hill safely MUCH easier too all thanks to mechanical advantage.

Wear whatever keeps you warm. Fishhead soup is good with onion, garlic, carrots and enough broth left over after cooking the rice in the broth. You 2 should have had a Hershey choc. bat to make it uphill to your vehicle. THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS. YOU SHOULD WRITE A BOOK ON YOUR ADVENTURES.

Oh man, -I basically saved myself- lol simcoe is usually all ice, not alot to grab. Do not underplay going in the ice. He had no spikes to pull himself up, all kinds of snow to hold onto, and he had a friend there, and a camp to go to. People die on the ice every year, dont disrespect it.

Did you ever try those square foam pads that hook together and look like puzzle pieces for the floor to keep the ice from melting. You wouldn't need many and they are light. Great video, I enjoy everyone of them. Thanks!
