We first catch a porcupine, then we prepare it for cooking by removing the quills and scorching the rest over an open fire. After that we dig up the dirt to make a primitive hangi which is filled in with white hot rocks and coals

You should try eating the burdock stems, it's an Italian delicacy. The younger the stems, the more tender. Parboil them first to clean them and get rid of any long fibers. Then mix them in a batter, like pancake mix and fry them in parties. Very delicious. You can even get burdock stems in the grocery store around Christmas where I live in upstate NY. Just don't eat the leaves, they are poisonous I have heard.

Love your videos, come to nz and learn how to do a hangi properly. good attempt, but a fail none the less, well done for giving it a go, not sure why you are re- posting a failure tho, I'm sure I watched that failure a year ago. Anyway- if you are interested how to do it right, give me a bell. Keep up the good work, I enjoy your videos.

I reckon you guys would eat a human lol I think it's time you two do a 3 month challenge but know guns only bows slingshots and fishing rods. I reckon you two can do it. What do you reckon

For the effort it seems like you would get a better return on eating squirrel vs the meat you got from the porcupine. Add woodobo and voila! Educational vid thanks for posting!

I think had the rodent been back side up the heat would have penetrated all the meat. You guys buried him splayed open belly up. All the meat and spine was into the cool earth

Let your nose do the talking in this situation. Decide based on your primal reaction. Are you repelled bye smell? That tells you everything you need to know
