I-d be curious your opinion of that self described bear guru who used to fly in to bear country to film himself being very daring in trying to befriend the wild animals who in the end were wild and killed and ate him and his girlfriend. The sad part was they had spent 3 months and were on their last 24 hours waiting for the return plane on the opening next to a bay. The bear knew they were leaving, methinks. He would face his back to the bears and face the camera, occasionally looking back to see how close the bear got. The entire attack was caught on their video camera, although no video only audio during the entire fight.

Brook trout are the best. I have caught brook trout out of streams that were so small, that you could not even tell there was a stream from 10 feet away. The Alders grow so thick over the stream that I would have to drop my hook into a tiny little hole only a few inches wide to catch them. The hardest spots to fish are the best places because nobody else wants to go there.

Another good video - thank you! Question: How come the bugs don't bother you? They're flyin' all over the place, including onto your hands, face, and neck. Is it that you use an insect repellant? Or does it come from many years of being in the outdoors, where bugs are commonplace?

Chris n Jer. In all of my years as a hunter, I never dare hunt bare, I always wear clothing as to not scare my companions. So go get them and keep on cooking. Say hello to my heroine aka your wife and bring her more in your videos along with your lil angel Haden.

Fully expected Jeremy to jump out, but it still caught me by surprise! Good thing my heart is sound! Kept looking for the bear to join you for supper! Always ate the fins and tails of fried fish when I was a kid - got finicky as I got older, though. Still eat the tails!

It's best to whack a fish 'til their eyes pop-out 4- & go back in again like in a cartoon. Then you know they are stunned. Yeah, the bear may jump, but the star of the show never gets knocked-out cold, at least not without a big come-back, um. right?
