My pops is telling me that chartering a yacht nowadays can cost thousands. Not been in so many years. Back around '90 we took the Marathon Lady out and I think he said it was like 75 bucks, that's a party boat though. Any hungry charter captains reading in SW Fla or the keys hit me up on a good price. I'll 2nd or 3rd mate for discount. Better yet, anyone need a first mate full time?

Hey, I want to buy an affordable, portable, surf fishing setup for small and medium sized fish in SoCal beaches. I was looking at a 9' Penn Fierce 2 6000 combo. Also, should I go for 40lb PowerPro braid with a 40lb Mono leader, or should I go straight mono? I'm trying my best to save money. Also recommend me a hook size for this kind of fishing. Thanks
