Fishing for Triggerfish, Trout, Snappers, Jacks while Battling Red Tide and Terrible Weather

I went fishing with my buddies Glyn Austin from Going Coastal Charters and Jarred Fayson (former NFL player) in Sebastian Florida. We planned to go fishing for the tarpon feeding on the massive migratory mullet schools off the beach. Our plans were immediately crushed when we got to the boat ramp The wind was blowing over 20mph, storms were on the horizon and worst of all, red tide was rampant killing thousands of fish. Basically, our plans changed from targeting a specific species to catching whatever bites. We discovered a huge fish kill inshore, so we decided to go offshore and try a shallow wreck for snappers, triggerfish, and other species of fish. One of the triggerfish that I caught decided to take a bite out of my finger while I was measuring it, not fun After catching mutton snappers, grey triggerfish, blue runners, lane snappers and sea bass, we decided to head back inshore and try fishing for trout and redfish.

Josh, I knew I was in for a good video today because, well. it IS Tuesday after all. What I didn't expect was to laugh so many times. The fish releases in today's video were hilarious I actually even got a little chuckle from the Triggerfish bite. You had just said you don't want to get bit by him and then you basically stuck your finger in its mouth (or so it looked on camera, haha. Oh, and Jacks have to be related to GT's, aren't they? They are so similar looks wise. I'm probably dead wrong, lol. Thanks for the great, fun video and you absolutely will see us next time Heather
