Fighting a 1000+lb Monster Sawfish for Hours

My buddy Max and I went fishing for tarpon, snook and blacktip sharks during the annual glass minnow migration and we hooked something much bigger than any of those species, fighting it for hours We began the adventure by flying the drone down the beach, searching for migrating species. Immediately we found a large school of tarpon swimming towards the boat, but unfortunately, they didn't eat. As the day went on we started to spot some blacktip sharks feeding on bait schools, but we had no luck with them. We were in need of more bait for blacktips so we headed to a nearby wreck to catch some blue runners, and have a little fun with the goliath groupers. After catching a few blue runners Max and I headed back inshore and went fishing for snook and blacktip sharks. All of a sudden, my line gets picked up and pulled away from the rocks. We fought this mysterious giant fish for nearly an hour before catching a glimpse of it. It was a monster sawfish, close to 20ft in length and over 1000lbs Sawfish are literary one of the rarest fish on earth and this was a jumbo-sized one I fought this fish for over two hours before hopping off on land to bring the fish safely ashore, and with two insanely strong headshakes, the giant sawfish was gone in the blink of an eye.

I enjoyed the video but it's too easy to make up the weights of fish when you don't catch them. You should really say large saw fish of unknown weight lost during an intense fight. It sounds more credible. No need to sensationalise when you already have a cool video. Just a thought.

I love how the other guy changes his mind everytime after the guy whose fighting the fish does. ooh. Yeah, for sure I think that too. Oh, you changed your mind? That makes sense, me too. Oh what, a third option? Dude, I'm pretty sure that's it, it makes so much sense

Dont get down about it dude thats the highlight of your life right there. You did something less than probably. 0000001% of people could ever do in their lives hooking up to that monster sawfish. Yet how many people even ever get to see one? Thats amazing

I've recently waded in water 1 foot away from a group of 10 or so sawfish. They are very cool. Not aggressive at all. And not to hurt your feelings but that was maybe a 150 lb fish. Not even close to 1000lbs. No need to exaggerate.

The only thing I find annoying in fishing (and sad ) is when you have a really big strong fish on your line but its so strong it snaps or frees itself and you dont get to see the size or species of it: (

What is clever about playing a fish for hours folks? Where is the fish welfare angle? Nearly every video you folks do is full of macho hook and haul them out. You are sports fishermen i think not. You belong in the past.

dont fish for something when your not equipped/skilled to get the hook of again -. - can happen but if theres not even efford to prevent it its not respectful

I honestly didnt even know sawfish went up to 1000+ pounds. Crap to be honest I didnt even know they got up to above 200-250. this blows my mind

I was never able to get over how condescending and annoyingly bossy blacktiph is to the people he brings on his boat. He never stops talking.
