My 6 year shot our Fake Turkey- (Catch & Cook) - Bluegabe JAY: Hey brother, I can tell this is tough talking about the passing of your dog! I also had a dog that passed and every time I think about it it's hard for me to talk about it too. Just wanted to ask what happened to Blue? How do you get loose and what happens when I know it's tough to talk about I'm sorry just watched your whole video. I was just wondering! My dog fell off my roof and accidentally hung himself during 4th of July, I was on the other side of town and just remembered about all the loud fireworks and how he be scared, got on my bike and rode all the way home to find that he hung himself he must have fell off the roof, I was really upset with myself because I should have attached his leash to his harness but I attached it to his collar he probably would have been like hanging off the roof just on the side of the building. But you know things happen for a reason and all dogs go to heaven!

We had a Black and Tan coon hound named Joe. We got him from an old friend that everybody knew as -Chopper-. He owned his own sawmill, hence the name Chopper. But his real love was raising and training these Black and Tans. They were like his kids. Anyway, our Joe was an awesome dog! He had the best -personality- a dog could have. Around home, he was just so calm and friendly, but when we went out on a
hunt, he was ALL BUSINESS! Nothing like hearing him -tree- one! Those were great times and great memories, with Joe and my Dad, who left
us in 2015. My brothers and I still love to sit and re-live those cold, crisp nights running Joe and treeing those -cats-!
Gabe, thanks for sharing your hunting stories! You got me thinking back, pulling up all those great memories of our Dad and us hunting and fishing
together!

Mix of a blue healer? The best dog ever is usually the one you grow with the most. We had a golden that the son named Raisin. He was lovable and enjoyed the heck out the wheels of cars. So i built a fence and the property was about 30 feet from the highway. After he jumped the fence one day i had to get little Billy another Goldy. He named him Grape and said that when he gets older he will be a Raisin. I was a Flag Officer for the Navy and over the 14 years of our life together, Grape kept the family safe while i was away. Gabe, your doing a good job with that family there.

Now that I can talk. The love of man has for a good dog can really never be explained. I ran my hounds for years on mountain lion, bear, bobcats and Coons. Over the years I lost some good ones. You never really get over it. So it's okay to show a little emotion. There's only three things in life that can bring on more emotion than losing a dog and that's God, family and friends.

Great video as always, brother. And man can I ever relate to your loss. The greatest dog I ever knew was Lucas, my chocolate lab. He died of cancer at age 9. I'm still not over it. Thanks for your videos and inspiration, friend.

I paused the video and was explaining to Jenny and Ashley about when you called me to go get Blu. I-ll never forget you calling me that morning. I think it was 2007. I said good bye to Blu for both of us.

The bond between a man and his dog should never be underrated. Almost two years since I had to unexpectedly say goodbye to my sweet girl and I still can barely talk about it.
