Wow, what a couple of monsters! Here in Alberta I've had the privilege of catching Rainbow trout in a few different lakes after freeze up, the best result being Rock Lake north of Hinton just on the edge of Wilmore Widerness area. Where a buddy and I caught 18-22 Rainbow trout all day, and a massive Bull trout that we didn't get to measure. Rock also has Northern Pike (we call them Jackfish) and Lake trout the biggest I've ever caught was a 14lb fish. Love your videos if your travels ever bring you out west be sure and try and fly fish in the late summer on the Castle River or even the Bow river through Calgary where you can find some truly epic fish! For some gorgeous scenery the Upper Red Deer River by Mountain Air Lodge has an amazing Rainbow and Cutthroat fishery as do most Rivers along the mountains from Red Deer down to Waterton Lakes. Just remember you'll need special park permits to fish in the Federal Parks.
