Cold Water Soft Baits for Bass

Fishing for bass in cold water often means having to slow down or go to a reactionary hard bait of some sort. When it comes to plastics however, it is usually better to go with something with less action that will fool a bass into thinking your bait is as cold as the other creatures in the aquatic environment around it. These are my usual plastic pics for fishing the early part of the year before the pre spawn

Man I love the pool footage! For those of us that don't have access to a clear water source where we can see our baits in action, this helps a ton. Would love to see more of that type of footage with different rigs, like carolina, swinging head, drop shot etc. Helps me picture exactly what my bait is doing when I'm on the water too. Awesome.

I'm fishing a strip mined lake in Florida this week (Bienville Plantation. It has a lot of soft bottom and grass, 37 degree weather coming in as well! Do you Carolina Rig fish in depth of 3-10 feet?

I needed this information as the first bass tournament of the year for me in NC is tomorrow. We just had 3' of snow last night at the temps are in the 30's. Thanks again

Awesome video bro. Seeing it in the pool really brings it all together. Still super cold water up here in the Pacific Northwest. Spawn can be as late as June up here

this is what I love about the fishing community. great anglers don't want to contain all that insight to themselves, they want to spread it to make other anglers great.

Hi Justin. I am all the way up in Missouri and am planning a trip to Lake Fork over spring break. What lures/techniques would you recommend for me to stock up on?

I fish Decker Lake Austin Tx and their is alot of grass what would be a good choice of jig. and maybe weights.
Thank you.
