Winter Bass Fishing with Worms and Crankbaits

Bass fishing in winter is never easy, but at least in Texas we still can fish year round during the winter. Today I'm bass fishing with my friend Brandon fro largemouth bass using some winter fishing techniques. I'll explain some tips and techniques on the best lures to fish for bass during the winter and how to get more bites. Fishing grubs, finesse worms, and Texas rigged worms working them slowly worked well and we caught some of our best fish using crankbaits. All of the crankbait bites were very sluggish and the bass barely had the bait. This is a sign that it is getting more difficult for the largemouth to chase down the moving baits. It's best to throw some pauses into your retrieves in order to give the bass a chance to grab it. Despite the tough water conditions, we still managed to catch some nice bass. Next, we are heading to a lake about 3 hours from here to see if there are any bass still in the shallows on a lake that has a lot of docks. See you on the next trip Fishing Freaks! I do enjoy your videos. I like your style of delivery, very casual some humor. plus you put out good info.
I am a transplant from KY. I had a small fish camp in the back of Eddy Ck, a major tributary of Lk Barkley,
Why did I leave it for TX? . Retired & warmer climate. I sold my Ranger & downsized to a nice Hobie PA 14.
I'm going to fish my first event 18 Feb on Lk Somerville. I would appreciate any info you could share w/me about
this lake. please. I know nothing about it, got a lake map in the mail yesterday.
Thanks for the info on the MTB people. I have received 2 boxes & I'm very pleased with the contents. Can't wait
for the Feb MTB.
I wish you good health and happiness and keep up the excellent fishing videos. Bob (from KY)

Man, I took a break from watching youtube fishing vids for the last couple months. Was so preoccupied with hunting that I haven't had any time to fish. And it's too late now, all the good spots are frozen up so it's ice fishing or bust. Anyway, I'm glad I'm back to watching the fishing vids. Gonna have to be my drug until spring comes around lol.
Envy you guys who can bass fish all year round. Those of us up north aren't afforded that luxury.

Hey, do you ever use live bait and catch anything? I haven't caught anything this year so I was wondering hopefully someone could tell me what to use down here in Birmingham, Alabama. We haven't had any good days, just some warm weather. Someone in the comments please tell me how we can be catching those big ones.

Absolutely the Funniest Video yet! Sams sly grin when he knows what his friends he brought along do not. I was wondering how you were going to fit these guys on your boat? But SeaVee Boats stepped up with a Beautiful Vessel that everyone fit in comfortably.

We're supposed to be getting a few warm days next week and I plan on going out. What do you recommend for those warm air days when the water is still in the high 30's low 40's?

I enjoyed the video guys, thanks. Was wondering if you would tell me what state is the lake you were on in? also what month were you fishing?
