I would say making sure you touch up the sharpening job on the hooks, with the snake heads having such a hard mouth structure a razor sharp hook makes a difference. Also i would try adding a second set of hooks and have the double hook set up on each side like on a big bass or pike bait. ( If that is aloud where your fishing that is ) I cant remember if they make any frogs with that double hook set up. Or i was wondering if you have tried one of those white mice lures, i would imagine they would smash it just like they do everything else that goes by them. Keep them lines tight Brother and thank you for all the stellar fishing content you are an amazing angler!

You absolutely suck at frog fishing. I’ve never seen someone miss that many fish. It helps to give it a solid 1-2 seconds before swinging. If you need to count 1001, 1002 in your head before setting. Gotta give the fish time to take it under and turn. If they hit it and swim towards you, you don’t stand much of a chance. But if they take it under and turn away from you, if you cross their eyes with the hookset you will most likely land the fish.

Bend your hooks out, spro makes their frog with the hook points pushed into the body. Need to bend them out so the frog is able to sway inside of the hooks. Your hook up ratio will drastically change. Also try dropping your rod and letting them take it more. I know it’s exciting and the anticipation kills you but you just gotta make yourself calm down and drop your rod and let them take it. Good luck

I live in Tampa Bay and go to South Florida for the day once or twice a year. Makes me sick people throw these fish on the bank just out of spite. If people kill them they need to eat them.
They are such fun fish. And they get along just fine with a native species. The state ( fwc ) and other saying other wise are bunch of yoyos just trying to make money off the native fish nothing more

im from south east asia, Indonesia. this species is decreasing now due to over harvesting and aquarium predator fish keeping. Its hard here to catch this fish in the wild especially in java. this fish only easy to catch in Borneo now, wich is in the remote places. Actually, this fish is taste good to if you know how to cook it

I am from Floroda. A Native. Born and raised in Largo amd Seminole my whole life. 100% don't agree with you releasing them after you catch them. They are able to invade other areas because people like you catch them and release them so they can decimate other species. I think you're a jerk for doing that.

Vik, I think the monotonous soundtrack throughout the greater part of the video is not really necessary. Doesn’t add anything to the content. The soundtrack covering the cooking part of the video is actually nice. It’s just my personal opinion. Others may agree or disagree.

They pound surface lures, fight hard, taste great, are simultaneously aggressive and challenging to catch. As far as invasives go. I think they are a plus. It's not like our environment isn't already screwed. so might as well enjoy what we got and roll with it!

You're missing fish because you're setting the hook too early and too soft. Next time, when you get a blowup, point the rod towards the fish, take 2 cranks to get the slack out, and yank. The rod will load up real hard, and your hookup ratio should go up.

Your setting your hook to early brother you have to let them hit the lure and wait a second for them to take it. Alot of the times the will just grab the end of your lure. So just wait a second going forward then you set the hook.

I am far from a frog expert but my experience is that when I failing to hook up it has more to do with me needing to delay the hook set so they can take it fully into their mouths than it does with short strikes.

Title: ,Most Hated INVASIVE Fish Why not keep them all if they're so invasive You would be doing the environment a HUGE favor. It's like, gee, this lionfish is too small. I'm going to release it. LOL

There’s a huge demand for snakehead meat along the gulf coast by Vietnamese Americans. You could do Florida a good service and satisfy demands by harvesting and selling snakehead meat in Houston.

Hello, you had another catch and cook snakehead; and in that video you used a spoon to scrape the fish, and cook the snakeheads flesh that way So, it is a very versatile fish to cook

Snakehead has a delicate flavor. Natural mefenamic acid. For us, Asians. If this fish are invasive on ur region then I'd gladly take them all by myself. It's quite expensive.

Pro tip with the rice. Blend the garlic and onion with a little water then fill the rest of the blended mix with water to your 2 cups mark and add after toasting.
