Taming The Tiger: Land Based Shark Fishing!

In this video, Viktor Hluben lands a 9ft class 300b Tiger shark, with Ryan Morie (Junoryan) on the leader and Brook Crist (Brookiecrist) on the camera. This particular Tiger fought harder than any Tiger we have fought before and we were quite shocked when we discovered it wasn't over 10ft in length. Tiger sharks are right up there with Hammerheads when it comes to throwing down on the sand. As always the Tiger was released to fight another day. Love your videos. Your crew has catch and release of large sharks down to an science bordering on art! It would be great to see you guys (and gals) hook up with the UM tiger shark study. A quick measurement and some other basic info along with a gps tag wouldnt add too much time to your release and the information gained could go a long way in protecting the species.
Learning how these animals move and where they go is the first step in establishing marine sanctuaries that will help ensure your kids and hopefully your kids kids will be able to head down to the beach with a rod and reel and do what you do for generations to come.
Keep up the hunt (but see what you can do about adding a conservation component!

should see the sharks we deal with off tomeree headland in Australia when its tuna time. hell last season they where that thick they where even grabbing our tuna baits. smallest i saw was around that 150kg mark. Whalor sharks mostly but we had some bloody big tigers show up.

I bet you wont get in the water with him sad thats the only way you know how to interact with these beautiful creatures they build up lactic acid and cant get rid of it like we can do most likely that shark swam off and died

You guys have inspired me to start surf shark fishing! I just recently caught my first blacktip off the beach using your techniques and it was estimated to be around 100+ lbs! Thanks for the great content keep it up!

Yall dont need measurement or anything cause you dont do fin clipping and DNA testing and tagging for research purpose. everyone fishes different though. bad ass catch man I wanna catch a tiger eventually

Very Nice Video and a nice looking tiger. I dont feel that anything is wrong with wanting to know how big your catch is instead of guessing.
