Awesome patience. Got broke off by a snook about that same size using 10lb. brade and 17lb leader on my new hurricane top-water lure. Had to wade around mangroves heart racing knew I was in for a long fight. Got it right up to me (finally) put my thumb on the spool. Snap! Over. Heartbreaker. Hope that it was able to shake my lure out. Don't want it to suffer, but that's fishing.

That comment about there being nowhere for kids to fish couldnt be more true. There's only a handful of places you can fish from shore here in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. None of the jetties are public access and most of the beach is no fishing during most of the day because of tourism. This is why i bought a kayak

I learned recently with the bigger fish especially to not hold them vertically like that. They will swim away just fine, but die shortly after. Always keep fish parallel to water with other hand supporting underneath belly of the fish.

I caught a beast snook at a spillway. Took me ten minutes to get it in on a rapala x rap. It bent two of the three treble hooks completely straight and it bent the bail on my real so bad i had to throw it out. You have to be ready for those monsters.

: 50 I dont like the life guards there on ami I was out fishing on my boat and just on the outside of the swim zone there was a balloon and I grabbed it and then they started blowing there whistles and I wasnt even in the swim zone

You are right, people have no common sense anymore! As a child I got in trouble for not coming inside, people today are scared to go outside or step off the concrete. Heaven forbid something happen to the local grocery store!

Yee, its ridiculous, people cannot take risks any more, we grow up playing outside, breaking a few bones but enjoyed ourselves, nowadays kids cannot even touch the water, its too risky! Cmon

You should have stood your ground with that lifeguard and stayed respectful, but told her youre not going anywhere. A life guards assistance shouldnt be forced on grown adults.

100 percent agree with what you said people are way to overprotective and when im on the beach the lifeguards wouldnt stop telling me about the ride and its very very annoying
