This is day 2 of our trip to the Bahamas in West End, Grand Bahama Island. We started out Deep Drop Fishing and caught a monster Wreck Fish, along with Yelloweye and Queen snapper. After Bottom fishing it was time to do some spearfishing. I shot a giant schoolmaster snapper and this species, at this size is known to contain ciguatera toxin which can poison you. Only Pole Spears and Hawaiian slings are allowed when free diving in the Bahamas. We also shot Hogfish (Hog Snapper) and Mutton snapper. The catch, clean and cook portion can be found at the end of the video, where Capt. Cameron cleans and prepares queen snapper for a fish dinner. Check out Floridian Sport Fishing Charters:

hi. i just took fishing with my two kids 10 and 5. and learning about the fish but seems like every fish can have ciguatera. im in west palm beach florida we fish the piers and go out in the intracoastal in my boat. so how common is this is this something to worry about in south florida. thanks

Don't understand why should Dropppp them. even if dead. Like hooked in eye and put them Alive on ice. That shows a lot of You guys but still Like your vids because I LOVE SEAFISH'N!

That's so awesome great day of fishing it's unbelievable that guy knew that that fish was poisonous did you have a clue? I sure in hell didn't. You learn something new everyday.

I thought you said you're going to stone some. Stoning means brain shot. Spearing a Hogfish witch is the simplest fish to spear you spear more than one in the meat you TOURIST.

Horrible way to eat it. Such a waste of fish. And their knife cutting skills suck. White don't know how to eat fish at all.
