So, I don't know how you could go about it, but.
There's a British owned island in the Indian Ocean called Diego Garcia, it's part of the British Indian Ocean Territories (BIOT. The only thing there is British Navy base, and the US Navy leases some of the piers. I spent about a month out there, while my submarine was doing some extended maintenance, and we swapped crews. I've fished all over the world, and no place on earth was like DG. Since it's a military base, commercial fishers aren't allowed there, and it's an archipelago in the middle of nowhere (I think the nearest mainland is Madagascar like 800 miles away. It's basically the healthiest fishery on the planet. The Brits have charter fishing boats out there, for the sailors and soldiers that spend time out there, and it was insane. By mid-day we got tired of catching Wahoo and Tuna, so we did some reef fishing and we're pulling up 30-40 grouper on every drop.

My younger days the first time i seen a planer it was used on a hand line, and actually used small diameter nylon type rope tied to the cleat. Using outriggers up top, in ne Florida we were kingfish hunting, we were young and experimenting. Modern technology was just beginning. (Paper fish finders(compass, watch and rpm) to find an area. The old days but the memories are forever.
Years ago late 70 s through the 80 s and we evolved as the conversations at the dock, ideas and tips were shared.
Congrats on those speed demons! and the groceries looked delicious.

I work on the happy snapper and have charter fished out of hillsboro my whole life, you can put a peice of wire on that shock cord wahoos dont care we troll mono to get the king and black fin bites once i have my limit on kings we bump up the speed and put out shock cords with wire

when taking the skin off wahoo in Mexico we make the out line around the whole fish just through the skin and we take a small rag or towel and peel it off then we finish with the fillets. much faster and easier! try it out! it works with mahi and kings aswell!

I would give anything to get out fishing with you guys. I do a lot of Keys bridge fishing because I am shore bound. When I see a Wahoo like that I just wish I could catch one some day!

We are up in the Daytona area. 30 miles minimum for wahoo. So awesome being so close to shore and that deep. Great video. Congrats on the 3 hoos too
