Glad you highlighted this place, too! We live a few hours south of the Finger Lakes and havent fished there but might check out this campground in the spring!
Good on ya not getting cut off by those pike & pickerel too by the way. My trick is to use a snap swivel to attach the lure. Keeps their toothy mouths off my line. They REALLY love hard minnow or shad style crankbaits too by the way.

Ive never seen a Ned rig rigged that way. Its an interesting way to do it.
Ithaca has some awesome hiking trails to a bunch of different falls. We did quite a few of them when we visited a few years back.

Love the video, you seem to be having even more fun now ( not sure how thats possible. I know it was a hiking trip at the end but I did see a rod in the backpack. Should have brought the fly rod that you made.
