Gamers Nexus why all the negativity?
OK the marketing is a bit silly, but that is a common problem. Meanwhile lots of respectable companies, even Intel has outright lies in their marketing. The performance seemed to be good to great to best. It is not over-priced. It is made of decent components as far anyone can tell. But what really makes it stand out among reasonably priced RTX3080 models , and the review does not even mention it:
- it is just 30 cm long - among the few shortest 3rd party 3080s out there. (Important for all small case users)
- is has the second quiet BIOS which makes the card substantially quieter than almost any other RTX3080 (a big selling point for me).
- it has an extra HDMI 2.1 port, making it easier to connect a TV and simultaneously some VR headset, video capture card or whatever you may have with an HDMI connector.
So I think this is the best RTX3080 board right now (considering price). Not by much and the standout features may not matter to You, but it is the best.

Don t trust anything that says military grade. I have served for 16 years so take it from me. The military contracts out to the lowest bidder. So it will run great for about 3 months the randomly burst into flames. Don t forget your weekly scheduled maintenance where you must break it down into its major components then reassemble it. Jk ... or am I. I m just being a little facetious. I hate the term Military Grade .

Before I got my card (3080 Ventus) I was so scared it would be a shit card, due to people online talking so much shit (clearly most of those people don't have the card).
Turns out it's actually great! Haven't seen temps above 62c , clocked +135 on the core and +500 memory (managed to clock +165 in benchmarks but wasn't stable in games).
This results in the card sitting at 1950-2050 during load.

Not sure why i watch these vids lol. Ill never buy a gpu over 300. I did just buy a bunch of parts for my second build(first was senior project in 2012). X570 aorus elite and r5 2600. Now i just need to find a good 130-160 dollar gpu. 1650? Rx570? Hmm. Thoughts?
Oh i probably only decided to build thanks to the confidence gained from watching gamers nexus and ltt. Thanks all

When you say there is almost no gaming performace difference between two models do you also say, that the TUF ist almost as good as the Strix? This would mean to me, that there is no reason for me to buy the Strix instead of the TUF. I do not really care about a little bit RGB, but I thought there should be a noticiable difference with the higher Power Limit.

as much as I would like to like all your videos, I cant like any 3080 video because none is available and you doing a video on it just rubs salt on the wound, maybe making a What the hell Nvidia, where can a normal person buy one would be more appropriate. I get that it launched a month ago, but this is the worst launch ever.

From web: Military grade components are held to a higher standard than consumer grade components. Required to operate at elevated temperatures, exhibit higher tolerances and adhere to more stringent measures of quality control, obsolete military grade components can be some of the most difficult parts to source.

Military grade means nothing. The term that would be potentially relevant is MILSPEC, meaning a thing meets the minimum specifications required for such a thing for use in militarily essential things. I say potentially because sometimes that specification is not particularly strenuous.

Military grade? So beat to hell and barely functioning because the armorer is too lazy to actually put in the work order to get the parts to fix the issue because it s not a deadline so you can scrape by until it breaks breaks . That s what military grade actually means
