Last year they caught a mining farm inside a power plant building in Ukraine. Inside the building of the power plant.
On Russian state TV, there are constantly news showing Russian SWAT busting miners stealing electricity.
And recently there was a farm caught in England that was stealing electricity too. Mostly all of the miners would steal electricity if they are given the opportunity. Most of them would attempt to steal it.
This is not even news anymore.
A miner who mines illegal transactions of illegal currency used to pay for crimes, committing the crime of stealing electricity... not even a news.
I think it is more interesting to see them using consoles for mining. I predicted miners would go for consoles too. PS5 offers 10 TFlops of criminal power.

Overclockers UK has been walling GPUs behind a custom build price tag too, since the beginning of the silicon shortage.
I thought that was normal practice at this point.
Oh, they also obscure the prices of components when constructing a custom build, since forever. No price tags are shown, only relative cost changes are shown. (eg, you have no idea how much a certain gpu costs, only that it costs X amount more or less than the GPU currently selected [for which you have no idea of it's cost.])

9:41 you actually did a pretty good job at pronouncing it. It's probably the closest English speaking person can get to correct. It is acronym of 3 words: Vinnitsya a town in Ukraine, obl for oblast, which means region in this context, and energo for energia, meaning energy . However, transliteration enerho is more accurate than energo , which can be valid only if you translate it to Russian first, and then to English

A bird told me that Nintendo infact is holding back something because of Components shortage. Ofc nothing confirmable but it would make sense given the problems Sony has with the PS5 shortage. Nintendo would not want to end in the same predicament. But the future will tell. A more powerful switch would be highly appreciated but as you mentioned in the Video... its very in-line with Nintendos usual behavior :P

nvidia buying arm means only that most people wont be able to afford a raspberry pi in the future and mobile phones will go up in price considerably, its exactly the kind of anti-competitive thing we expect from them and it has been shown that they are willing to force people legally or financially to do what they want, you even jokingly saying it is a good idea is just good advertising for them

Small company called Central Computer is doing the same thing as Newegg basically. You can either buy a custom built computer or 3 computer components for high demand stuff like a gpu, can't be 3 of the same things like 3 ssd's. Also they're doing something like the 3080 can only be bought with a prebuilt and a 3070 can be had with 3 items or pre-build. Kinda bs

Thank you all at GN so much for doing what you are doing with Right-to-Repair. Having the extra publicity and funding really helps. I donated 50 to Fight to Repair a few months back so I am really appreciative of others helping the cause. We need to do anything we can to get and keep things moving in the right direction as they have been over the last few months.

Steve your way of pronouncing is still very impressive, for future reference - it s most likely 3 words jammed together vinnytsia / obl / energo - which is very common for russian, ukrainian and belorussian languages. Most often it can be understood as: name of town / regonal (oblast) / energy (energo), which as i d understand was an old local power plant
