Amazon Scam PC: Everything is Wrong in the iBUYPOWER Element Mini

At nearly 700, this iBUYPOWER Element Mini is among the cheapest systems we've purchased for review this year. Unfortunately, most the specs were incorrectly listed, and the GPU is... old.

Wow, scam is certainly the correct term for this pile. I'm very disappointed it's #78 best selling in 'Tower Computers'. I assume it's mostly bought for kids to play fortnite on lowest settings, presumably average buyer (parent or kid) wouldn't know what sort of performance to expect from a computer at that price point so they can't know they've been scammed.
Also love how there's a question from April about the mismatched RAM 16 vs 8 GB that the 'manufacturer' replied to but still hasn't fixed in the listing... Almost like it's intentionally wrong.

G'day Steve,
I didn't think things could be worse than the Quality of the received product from Ibuypower in the last Prebuilt from them due to being broken from a lack of care with Packing,
but to sell this marketed as a Gaming PC Build is just beyond any Conscience.
While the core is not as old as the one in the Build here in Sydney you can buy this new: GIGABYTE GT 730 2 GB Rev. 3.0 GV-N730D3-2GI ( 95AUD) which is a K28nm + DDR3-800 version

tl;dw you are looking at a 200USD-ish computer sold at 700USD????
now question if this was an iBuyPower Build what was the OG GPU??? I'm pretty sure some schmuck bought this at 700USD ripped the GPU and then slapped the 730 in order to do a flip but had to recoup costs....
oh god its really sold in the iBuyPower store in amazon.... waow..... are components really that expensive that a GT 730 sells for nearly 500USD?

a GT430 is worth at most 5 on the used market, literally only bought by people who want a display adapter with an HDMI port and nothing more. It took me ages to sell my long grandpa's old GT 440, which I'd listed for 5 with bids allowed. Somehow the even older Quadro FX 3800 I had up for sale was a lot more popular amongst the display adapter seekers (and sold for 10 as opposed to 2,50 for the GT 440)

I have a system in my GARAGE; an intel i5 7500, 1050ti, 8GB RAM 275GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Silverstone Essential 600W PSU. It's from a recycling center -- and I'm SURE even IT would be better than this... abomination. I just LOVE IT when Steve roasts these systems because we all know that every one in this comment section could build ANYTHING better than this and put these companies to shame, shame, shame...

Devil's advocate: it would make for a perfectly functional school computer, and even delves into history and nostalgia alike with that Fermi chip.
On a sidenote, that RAM heatspreader looks kind of like the imperial eagle from warhammer 40k so I'm guessing this thing was assembled by a bunch of incense burning dudes who have no idea how any of the components work or what they do.

Wow those GN drivers from the toolkit are well sturdy!! I dropped one off my balcony when I was smoking, that's about 24ft drop, then it was run over by a transit at surface leve and survived without a scratch!
I mean, well I expected to have to glue the handle back or SOMETHING lol. Nope it's fine. Works a charm not even scratched up or bent at all!! Haha. LUCK.

4:40 Whenever making jokes about Warranty VOID stickers, please also make sure to emphasize that those stickers are actually meaningless.
A lot of people still believe that those stickers aren't just meaningless attempts by the company to scare people when they have no legal standing to actually void the warranty for removing those stickers.

This video reminded me that I have bought a GT 730 GDDR5 back in 2014 and I regretted instantly this purchase. Ended up selling the GT 730 in 2016 to upgrade to the GTX 750 ti only to regret again this purchase because 6 months later the GTX 1050 ti came out.
I am still using the GTX 750 ti and I will still using it until it stops working.

To be fair, the listing you show at the start of the video clearly says 8GB ram, not 16. EDIT, its the title of the listing in all the ones you show. Also its funny how in some builds you call getting more than you were promised (the SSD) an upgrade vs a scam. In one of your reviews you got better ram than promised and didnt call that a scam.
