Having been to several tech and people focused expos, the more expensive everything is, the bigger the gap between exhibitor and visitor. - Hannover Messe (huge expo in Hannover, Germany, there is a company VS you vibe going on. - Ideen Expo (more ideas/people focused, small and well funded, also Hannover) is an we meet you. - And then there are expos like LTX, themed cons, etc. Only main routes with carpet, basic fences with cloth, an empty look to the huge halls. Those are the best! You stumble into someone, get talking. It is an our spontaneous group -vibe that fills those halls. That said, someone put an ocean between LTX and me. Until it freezes over, plane tickets are too expensive.

The difference of LTX to all other Expos is that it is made by passionate people with passionate people and the people who goes there can see meet and have fun with those passionate people. Other expos are made by suited money man giving passionate people a booth and panel space for a certain price. This is a big difference. The main problem is, LTX can't be that big, it can't take too many people, so, what I suggest is, to keep it small and limited. Then if there is room for it, make it twice a year, maybe a seasonal event. This can make you think that you can't make it for lack of time or energy or man power, but believe, there will be.

I appreciate what Linus was talking about with wanting LMG to be a real media company that didn't rely on him or his wife to constantly hover over it to keep things going, but I don't think he'd want the things a real company brings with it either. For one, the obsession over profits would immediately kill the tone and ideas of the videos. Every idea would need to be approved by 10 different departments before they'd get greenlit. I'm sure there's some of that going on already, but Linus brings a child-like curiosity and light-heartedness to his videos that make them standout. That's his brand. It would be a real shame if that was lost.

Linus's mind is on his it's game. He is a quick guy without being hypomanic and it's great to see. I tell my wife all the time how crazy it has been watching the guy who never ages come from NCIX to this in 10ish years. It's great to watch it all unfold and inspiring for some to get out there and work work work. Now I must go out and work hard for what I want to build! Love the interview, you guys are great. I love the contrast in what you guys over in your videos yet the both peek my interest.

I have learned so much from you guys! I have built several computers for some close friends and family and they are still operating perfectly today years later. You guys aren't given nearly enough credit for what you do so, from me to you guys Thank you so much! From Steve to Linus, barnacles, bitwit, jay and the rest of you! I have learned so much! Thank you for being such great teachers! Also thank you for holding large corporations accountable for their BS!

FYI I still don't like Anthony. Mostly cause he just visually fits the stereotype of the fat balding nerd that lives in his mom's basement. It's that thing I see that I hate people assume we all are. Plus it's just not healthy to be so fat you sit in a chair asking people to bring you things the whole video instead of getting up and moving around. Specifically talking about the server rebuild video. Maybe it's that I see in him what I hate in myself.

You can still tell that Linus is the major player for LTT. If he started to pull away and only was in a few videos then the would take a way a good portion of the LTT branding. One place this is seen the most is the ability for remote correspondence. LTT really needs to be able to send a Jr Linus out in the field to do the installs like he did with iJustine and other creators. This would definitely focus his time back at home base.

As far as I'm concerned, Steve and Linus are cornerstones of the YouTube tech community. Thanks for all you both do! As a viewer, I'm glad to see further involvement from other members of your respective teams; I've enjoyed the alternate hosting on LTT. However, I would be sad if, say, Linus stepped down fully from making videos. Balance is good, absolutes are bad. but I'm sure that's known and accounted for. Thanks again!

I appreciate seeing a human Steve; the whole GN team shouldn't have to worry about jerks and their opinions on finger nail length. Granted, I want my favorite creators to have good self care; but for some people self care is bringing accurate, through, reporting to their communities. I appreciate all the sacrifices the whole team at Gamers Nexus make, big or small.

I get what they're saying about PAX. However PAX south is a pretty good example of an event that has something for everyone, and isn't super crowded like east or prime. I will have to try to make it to LTX next year just to say I was there for the early days and how much better it was before all the huge booths and 70000 people started coming per day
