This hardware news recap talks about the Xbox Series X, Sony PS5, Plundervolt vulnerabilities, and more. Sponsor: EVGA RTX 2080 Ti XC Ultra (Amazon - Update: Looks like Intel issued a statement that discontinuing the G3420 was actually a mistake on its part, and that's why it brought it back from the briefly-dead. Intel said to Tom's: On December 5, a PCN was erroneously posted on product discontinuance of the Intel Pentium Processor G3420. There is no change to the Intel Pentium Processor G3420 product roadmap, and that product continues to be supported by Intel. (source: Show notes: Support our efforts via the GamersNexus store! On a side note, if anyone wants to know what 128GB RAM works with a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 board, i just purchased a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Master with a Intel i9-9900KS and a Cooler Master 212 RGB Cooler and the Corsair Vengeance LPX 128GB (4 x 32GB) works perfect right out of the box, i have BIOS version F9, I know that F10 is out but as even the Gigabyte manual says that you should not upgrade the BIOS if everything is working properly, so i wont test my luck and i'll stick with F9 for now. Also the i9-9900KS seems to run at 5. 01 GHz right out of the box WITHOUT any OC settings or adjustments, just stock settings, 3D Mark, task manager, and Sisoft Sandra all show that its running at 5 GHz on all 16 threads, which is pretty impressive right out of the box. As for the Gigabyte board, i am happy with it, much like many other Gigabyte boards. They just work. Anyway if you are looking for 32GB modules that work with a Z390 chipset, these Corsair Vengeance LPX are great. i have pushed the system with 800 browser tabs open, Roxio BD creator open, CoD running in the background, Adobe Premiere open on one monitor, 3D Mark running on another monitor, CrystalDisk and a few other programs running on a 3rd monitor and VLC player playing a movie on a 4th screen and i was only able to get 19% memory usage and 62% CPU usage across all 16 threads, which is telling me that this system will be able to handle pretty much anything i throw at it for the next few years, and i am running a lowly pair of RX 480 8GB GPUs on a Corsair AX1500i PSU. Hope that helps anyone wondering if 32GB modules work in a Z390 as Gigabytes QVC list only goes to 16GB modules and it says to check with memory manufactures for compatibility of 32GB modules, which seems like a cowards way out, passes the hot potato so to speak, so i took a chance and spent nearly 700 on RAM and tried this Corsair 4 pack from NewEgg and it works great. Also the i9-9900KS seems to be sold out in many places, i can tell you that Micro Center still has some in stock as of this past Friday the 13th, 2019.

AMD's drivers. Come on, AMD. I'm trying to root for you. I even bought an AMD CPU though I just realized my CPU FAN fluctuates have been an issue (R9-3900x with Noctua NH-D14) even in 5% usage or less which is odd though I'm not clear of the reason (I think it's the number of temperature sensors so one part of the CPU might get hot even in light usage which still results in the fan spinning up. I ended up raising the fan RPM as well as the temperature it kicks in at so my CPU fans (which are PWM fans now) spin at 30% until 60degC then ramp to 100% at 75degC which appears to be optimal for my use case. if I lower the temp I get more fan fluctuations and if I raise the temp beyond 75degC the CPU crashes under intense load. I also did the offset delay thing to 2. 6 seconds which seems to help. Not much of an issue but even now I'll be doing basic tasks then do something simple like open Google Chrome and my fan ramps up because the CPU temp jumped from around 44degC to 70degC for a short time!

Things like the Ring hack have been happening for ages. 30 years ago I was on the phone talking to my girlfriend after school when some wires got crossed at the telco and a 3rd party was connected to our call. As I found out later, this 3rd grade girl was trying to call her mom and check in, it was the first day she had ever been allowed to walk home from school by herself and be in the house alone until her parents got off work, but when she picked up the phone she heard me instead. Being an immature teenage boy I told her scary things like how I was hiding in her closet, and how I'd taken her parents away forever. I'm sure I scarred that kid for life. Her dad called the cops and weeks later my parents got a visit. I ended up having to call and apologize.

Germans usually measure length, height and depth in WURST either: 1 Wienerwurst = 25cm / 9, 84252inches or 1 Bratwurst = 20cm / 7. 87402inches ( LES French do it in LE baguette as far as I know. But I dont know if you count the middle part thats contaminated by LE armpit sweat or not. I'm no armbit expert. PARDON MES AMIS) And also in Germany: weight is measured in BIER 1 Bier = (500ml/10 US fl oz) weights 400g/0. 88pounds (which is also one of the colors of the German flag for obvious reasons duh) Funfact: Attractiveness is also measured in Bier. The amount of beer you have to drink to tolerate a womans looks shows how attractive/unattractive she is. Yours Sincerely German Culture Ambassador Crispy

To be reasonable, not every 'smart' device needs the latest processing node. It's only cheaper and more efficient to spread products over multiple nodes. Much like how boards like the raspberry pi certainly can do a lot with older arm designs and upgrading for many applications is totally pointless endeavor. An automated cat feeder that takes pictures and records video with a pi camera doesn't need a raspberry pi 4b. The 3 is plenty if you want it wifi enabled without a usb adapter, other wise you can go even older. Heck, many remotely controlled robots could manage just fine with a pi zero and arduino pairing running a light linux kernel with a wifi usb adapter tucked in there somewhere.

XBOX XXX fan intake I'd bet any amount of money the INTAKE is on the BACK SIDE opposite to the BD drive port (when vertical) not the bottom. The BluRay and other components that don't need a high amount of air flow are on the bottom and it's likely reason the APU etc is in the TOP HALF with a big heatsink with fan on top to suck the air out. You can then place it vertical or horizontal with no concerns for the surface it's mounted on. a slight variation on this might be to have the APU board on one SIDE (near top) with the heatsink extending through most of the top half then have a fan blow air UP THROUGH the heatsink so in that case the fan might sit in the middle.

I hate the new AMD Radeon drivers and the fact that it install all the crapware that I don't want. hope AMD soon make the custom option like they used to so we can chose what we want to install or not. I have a old CPU and now I have more stuttering like on Post Scriptum even though I have disabled everything on the AMD Radeon panel even the AMD overlay but no matter what it still opens it when I open the game and shows the window to press ALT+R to open AMD menu which is even disabled it shouldnt even be injected into the game and its crippling my CPU performance.

Look man I like your videos but please stop at the dumb propaganda, deforestation areas, apparently you need to either learn how logging is done, or you're trying to rip people off for money one of the two when you cut a tree down in the logging business they put a special sap over the stump that will regenerate the tree within three years time oh, there are very strict laws on the books about this stuff, but if you keep selling yourself out to this propaganda or trying to trick people for money buddy, you ain't going to have anyone watching you.

Maybe its just me, but putting cameras in your child's bedroom just seems creepy af in any scenario. Then making those cameras accessible from the internet is just asking for trouble, doubly so if you don't take even basic steps to secure them. Yes I'm victim-blaming. Said victim was dumb and deserves part of the blame. Not all the blame of course - the vendor should be taking the security of their products more seriously, and most obviously the perpetrator should not be a piece of shit human being.

Maybe it's just me being a snide prick, but the speech from Intel seems to be their way of responding to losing 90+% market share by basically being the kid that's limping away and crying while yelling, I LET YOU WIN! . As in, rather than them losing the 90+% dominance due to the near decade of stagnation that they've had when they didn't have to compete, they specifically planned to lose that dominance because they are concentrating on other things.
