Corsair took a page from Bitwit's book and made RGB tempered glass, but didn't realize he was joking. They also have a new tower cooler in the form of the A500. Sponsor: Buy Gigabyte's X570 Master (Amazon - The Corsair suite at #CES2020 had a new Concept Orion project that will definitely become a product, according to Corsair, and uses RGB LEDs on a glass panel. The company also had a new A500 air cooler on display, its first in several years. Liquid cooling didn't have much going on other than refreshes. #CES

I really think that, since it's a film, sell the film in precut rolls of varying sizes. That way, consumers can put it on pretty much anything, from computer cases to cars. Imagine seeing this on the windows of a car (granted it being legal to do so, some states make it illegal to do things similar to this. this, i believe, is not explicitly banned, but the general concept probably is) The main point is being able to RGB-up existing cases, especially people who already have TG Corsair cases who want a little more Corsair in their life (which is always a plus. Selling the rolls by themselves would have a huge market and a much larger one than just a few select cases with this technology prebuilt in, but, of course, Corsair can still sell cases with the film pre-installed. For connection, I would highly suggest just being able to plug it into a Commander, and if you don't own a commander, include an adapter to plug to the motherboard without having to plug into a fan port or a USB adapter (even if it's external.

While technically impressive I think the current implementation is just tacky. But then I absolutely hate most implementations of unicorn puke on chassis and fans. However something like this could be cool if the density was upped about 16 times. While that may sound a lot it would mean quadrupling the horizontal and vertical resolution. So if the LED's are originally one inch apart they would now be a quarter of an inch apart. Now it would be possible to form some simple but recognizable graphics and animation, perhaps using it to show simple messages or temperatures. It could still end up tacky, but at least it would be easier to make something tasteful of it. Perhaps it could be done if they were to restrict the use of these to a smaller area of the window, or why not put them on a solid side plate, no window needed? (Did I mention I hate windows in chassis almost as much as I hate most unicorn puke)

The RGB Tempered Glass looks great, but like all RGB, the Software needs to actually have the utility, It would be great if they created a Post Code section made with them or gave us actual utility beyond the regular, I am all for looks, but even seeing a flow indicator virtualized with LEDs would be great. Also Since Corsair makes Periphs it would be great to see them make a series of cases that are actual monitors(AIO style) using ITX config and using RGB on the back of the case to extend the colors from the monitor outwards or something people haven't done yet a Vesa Monitor stand that can support up to ultrawide configs that has an ITX case built in.

I feel like the glass needs to be a bit more opaque to diffuse the light of the LEDs in the case as when it's flashing it's hard to distinguish the colours on the panels except those which are directly in front of you (may also be challenges of videoing it, while it'd get rid of some of the look ma no wires thing, it would make a nicer aesthetic imho. The reason I say this is the best shot I could see was when the light was reflecting off the material behind the front panel. Again, it may not translate well on video as it does in person.

I have had LED die on me after some time fx on s trip. that is pretty easy to fix with this is going to be the whole glass which is gonna suck and expensive if its not covered under warranty. Second can you open up the case while its on? if not its a no go concept imo. You need to be able at least to open the door while its on. When I swap out GPUs/RAM I normally check if all things are working because I close the case up fully and turning of the PC just to put on the panel is really tidious to me at least.

The RGB glass looks sick. I'd buy it as is if they can neatly integrate the cables and route them to behind the motherboard try or somewhere out the way. Maybe include the commander pro with that case. I bet it'll be expensive but that's ok for a unique looking luxury case. That case should definitely have good radiator support because at the sort of price point it'll need to be aimed at it'll probably be filled with Hydro-x parts.

The rgb cover is just UGLY. No reason to show the LED like that, and of course it's ridiculous to have bigger density of them. Cause yeah, that's why someone would buy a tampered glass case, so they will NOT be able to see the inside of their computer. It would make more sense for the LED to be positioned around the edge of the glass and facing inside the glass body so they wouldn't be visible but still be bright

Even in a RGB saturated market, I kind of like the led infused glass concept, as it's a really neat and unique concept and implementation of RGB lights. My only thoughts on it are that I really hope Corsair ends up selling (if they're able and willing to do so that is) everything that you would need to apply it to your own tempered glass case so we're not forced to have to buy a whole new case just to enjoy it.

Here is my cheapo El Blingo RGB like case concept. get a small disco ball that your dad brought home from the early '70s and pair it up with a flashing led flashlight you find at the local dollar store, stick it inside your windowed case> Spin that Rick James inspired glitter ball> Dim the lights and zip up your bell bottom hippie pants while you dance the night away playing PUBG!

The glass led s isn t a bad idea, no worse than the inwin version where it s just all led on glass. It would be nice to have as a matrix to put on anything you d like. I d like to see this as maybe not even a computer thing but just a array or matrix that you could hook up to anything and just have them around. Would be great to mount under a desk or something for under glow
