3:41 i think Intel did not mention RADEON gpus because nobody buys them (or casual gamers don't), RDNA2 (complete stack) got OUTSOLD by a single Ampere SKU 3 times (3060, 3060ti and 3070 each have more market share than all of RDNA2 acording to September 2022 steam survey), as a 5700XT user i'll admit that RADEON is niche and by comparing to NVIDIA is clear Intel is targeting the huge majority of the market the casual gamer that either doesn't care at all about RADEONs existence or knows that RADEON exists but the driver saga from RDNA1 & Vega scared them or simply doesn't know AMD makes GPUs.
Edit: NV mindshare is a real thing that needs to be targeted/addressed and to me it's clear that intels focus with ARC is to dismantle the NV mindshare in the mainstream/budget segments, AMD doesn't really compete in sales at the low price bracket, just look at how close the 3050 is to outselling all of RDNA2 (according to STEAM HW Survey).

What do you think?
Yeah. Those words. Brings joy
Me: sweats uncontrollably
I've given presentations before, to a room full of people but thankfully not broadcast to the world. It can be nerve wracking, but holy damn this was cringy. Why would they not have a script, and maybe run through it a few times before the real thing? I mean good grief, Steve here with a budget that I can only assume is pathetic compared to Intel's marketing budget creates videos that are 1000% more professional. I can only imagine that Intel routinely fires it's entire marketing department, and hires new people from Craigslist with zero screening. That's the only thing that makes sense.

1) Intel is still using CMOS (1963-vintage) instead of tunnel diode threshold logic. TD would run at 2 THz drawing only 5 W.
2) AI stands for Artificial Idiot . They want managers to believe that idiots can build Expert Systems. It takes experts to design and train Expert Systems.
3) Neural Networks do not have an explanation capability. Expert Systems can explain HOW they reached their conclusions. Neural Networks can't.

That moment you think there is nothing you can do in this world, everything has already been accomplished. Then you see multibillion dollar worth company Intel having a shitshow presentation like this and you get a sudden surge of hope for the future that there are still lots of low hanging fruits like this.

honestly, i can't wait to see performance graphs from 3rd party testers as i don't really trust company numbers...also interesting to see how they will transition to a microchip for laptoops since that market is growing still.
kinda sounds too good to be true for GPUs with that quality at that price.

Intel scheduled the launch to force the obvious comparison by the media between the crazy expensive 4090 and the inexpensive Intel GPUs. I don't understand all the random theories and several minutes of nonsense when the actual reason is obvious. Maybe you were trying to parody Intel's presentation?

Oh my, Intel is more incompitent than ever, which is an achievement. This really concerns me for their long term sustainability. I seriously doubt they'll have the same footprint in the pc/datacenter market ten years from now, which sucks for obvious competitive reasons.

I don't think the strategy is bizarre at all; Intel knows that a 1600+ RTX 4090 is a halo product that the vast majority of consumers will not be buying, so they are basically riding the coattails of that launch, offering the product the consumers can actually afford.

Thanks Steve. hahah... You are missing the point about the ARC being Limited edition... The card itself is limited simply because it is ARC...? Meaning the platform is so crippled and 2nd rate (possibly 3rd or 4th or worse???) but it is limited performance wise...

Slowly caressing my Intel Optane drive wondering what will be axed next.
Optane was great, Intel made some monumentally stpuid decisions about it(for one why limit it to 2xPCIE 3.0, the average cosumer is going to think your 200 100GB drive is slow AF)

Nosense AMD board names, Nvidia losing EVGA, this Intel presentation... these companies will have a hell of a time coming up with anything for April Fools' to trump all this ludicrousness.
Limited Edition obviously refers to the card's capabilities, duh.

The dream is have a pc whose power supply that doesn t burn the house down. A gpu I don t have to take 2nd mortgage out for and software that doesn t spy on me and runs so much stuff in background that cause cpu clocks to go in reverse. That is the dream

What is it with The Establishment acting out parodies of themselves, with straight faces? Are they trying to satirists out of business, so we won't notice the BS and break our eyes with excessive rolling, or what?!?
Anyway .... Thanks, Steve!!

You know its bad when the competitions previous gen chip with older Ram smokes your current lineup, yikes. I feel like the 5800x3d just overshadows everything out now at least for gaming, pair that with a cheap board and your good for years.....

Unless the reviews are abysmal, I'm all in for the 349 16GB card. Same amount of VRAM I go with the established, the 300 8GB 3060 is interesting. And got it, Limited like a car tier. I currently have a 6600 that is fine and I need better.
