Roku OS 11 Gives Us What We've ALWAYS WANTED

For some reason the ROKU wont turn off my TV. I can use it to turn on the TV by pressing Home, Back, or OK. Adding a volume up/ down feature would be great. Juggling remotes can be a hassle, especially if someone fell asleep with the remote you need. One app, Rifftrax, needs the volume raised immensely. It would be painfully loud for Amazon, Netflix, etc. We do our best to keep a respectful volume at night, but we do make mistakes.\r\n

I'm DEFINITELY excited for the personal pictures screensaver. It'll be fun to have goofy pics of my kids on there. I have a RokuTV & hope this picture-saver would allow me to use a USB device on TV to hold a TON of pictures.
The live TV update might be cool too. As a family, we really watch a lot of things, from mst3k to early morning cartoons. I'm also curious for the sound auto-reply. There's a lot of sound issues in the wife's viking shows, which causes her to keep the volume a bit high most of the time.
I hope to see this update soon!

I would like to have Roku add Bluetooth keyboard capability or the ability to add any cordless keyboard. Also would like to be able to cast video to Roku from windows 10. Supposed to be able to do that but have not been able to get video on computer to duplicate on Roku. it connects but only will shows the picture on my desktop. automatically changes it to second monitor output so I have to drag video to Roku. Then it doesn't show on the computer. When changed to duplicate it doesn't change so the video on the computer monitor shows on Roku.

It would be great if the what to watch would aggregate your watchlists from everywhere. I don’t necessarily want recommendations for shows I’ve never heard of, but recommendations from within things I’ve already decided to watch would be super helpful. And solve the problem of going to Hulu, and seeing what’s on my list, then going to Netflix and seeing what’s on my list, then going to Plex and seeing embarrass in my list, then going to well you get the idea. Basically, do for watch lists what Roku already does for search.

I’m glad they’re adding some features. We’ll see how they work. One thing they changed a few years back that erks me is the headphone out jack setting on Roku TVs. When you plug in the headphone jack, it turns off the speakers. My dad is hard of hearing so he uses wireless headphones. This leaves me without tv speakers. It would be nice if there was a sound setting that allowed both to work at the same time.
I’ve got 5 Roku TVs in the house. I’m a fan. Wish they’d fix this.

I would trade all of the boring changes mentioned in this video for the ability to program the 4 useless buttons on the remote. The only time I use the 4 buttons is when I accidently hit them and they take me away from what I am watching. Also, connecting ear phones/buds to Roku is the worst. Using the mobile app drops the connection after a while, making it unusable. They should fix that and that would be better than all the boring changes coming in the update.

Speach clarity is the only update i like. Actually the folks making the content should have taken care if this from the beginning. But no due to artistic effect so folks have a very hard time understanding the speach. Think batman movies. I abhore not being able to pick up the speach in such movies and there us nothing wrong w my hearing.

I am absolutely love roku. The only thing that needs to be upgraded is the highlight square around the vid you want to select. It needs to be a different color other than white and the highlight should flash or be more actively aggressive. I end up selecting the vid to the left or right of the vid I actually wanted to watch.

I would like for them to fix the sound. I had one I was using, and they did an 'upgrade. After that, I had no sound. I bought another, and it doesn't fork, but my Tanix TX6s Android TV box works so it isn't the display's problem. There are a lot of complaints online about 'No Sound' but no solution.

Why do they stop the voice input with logging into accounts Using it to search for content shouldn't be much of a stretch. Using the remote to search for shows and movies is a pain. Or is that feature already incorporated and my Roku is just out of date

They need to fix the video calibration menu for Roku TVs on the mobile app, or at least add it to the TV itself instead of the app. I've been trying to calibrate my TV colors but every time i open those settings the app just crashes

The only thing I want from Roku is a true universal remote for their non-tv devices. I have a streaming stick. Yes, it it can power my tv on and off and adjust volume but I had to purchase a Sidekick to control my input selection.

When talking about the voice keyboard you were saying how you don't need to keep re-entering passwords. Every couple weeks I'm having to re-enter passwords on almost everything. And that is over multiple Roku devices. Help

Mostly a waste of their time. Maybe the live TV. They would have been much better off developing a better Roku device considering the advancement in technology. You can take all the rest and trash them.

My Roku likes to Zoom In if it goes into sleep mode. I turn it back on and when I watch something, it's ZOOMED in so then I have to turn it off and back on. Does anyone else have this issue

I find the fact they track everything I do to be a bit intrusive. How about adding an option so nothing I do on Roku is tracked, recorded, or used to tailor advertising

Just got the Roku Ultra. If your sound does not work, switch to stereo sound from Auto. Other than that, really like the picture and the Roku interface.
