How to SAFELY Power your Mining Rig (GPUs, Risers, etc) - Sebs FinTech
video description
1=120watts for the 1st card
2=75 for the 1st Riser
3=120 watts for 2nd card
4=75 watts for second Riser
Ok so at the beginning of the video you had said that the cord connected to the Psu is good for 300 watts
The Riser is asking for 75
And the Gpu is asking g for
120
Here is where you don't make sense
2x120=240
2x75=150
240+150=390
As you had said before you don't know when the card is going to ask for full power
Therefore we are -90 watts is not that a fire Hazard
Listen I like your video but please explain

Please answee my 2 questions
Gpu power 120 watts and riser power 75 watts. So u mean that both gpu and riser combined will not pull more than 120 watts but this 120 watts will be shared between the riser and gpu or it can draw 120 and 75 all both at the same time
I am a little confused
Example if a pcie cable is connected to 1660 super via 8 pin and riser via 6 pin both of them combined will nit draw more than 120 watts. Then why we say risers need up to 75. I dont get it

Hi Sebs, really congratulations for your videos and for the simplicity with which you explain complex topics. I want to ask to you: can I use 2 splitter (as you show in the video) to power, 2 AMD video cards + 2 riser (through 6-pin female) with one only cable, or I should consider that 1 video card asks for 150+ 75 watts and for this reason I would go over power with 2 video cards?! Thanks a lot

So, let's say I have used a power supply to power my motherboard and ssd and so on.
Am I able to use the same power supply to go on and power some of my GPUs? Noting to stay under the 80% rule?
Eg: 1 PSU powering my MB+peripherals
And then powering x2 or more GPUs and risers (staying under 80% total load.
Then using a second power supply to power more GPUs and risers.

So let me just get this straight. If you split it you have to make sure it doesn't go over 300 watt
.so basically you can have 1 8 pin power 4 riser because that equal 300watt but just to be safe you should only power 3 riser because of 80% rule. Meaning if you don't power any gpu 1 8 pin can power 3 riser safety. Is that correct

hi sebs nice video like always. i have this issue (GPU power 742W < 1000W, rebooting) with my 2 rigs. I don't know if it's because i have 2 power supply one each rig (1 atx and 1 server ).
It's been working fine for weeks without this issue and now for no reason this issue came. i tried many this but nothing.

Hi Sebs. Me and my son love your videos. Can I ask how many watts PSU you would use/need for 6 RTX 3080 LHR....we also want to use them for dual mining....dont know if that makes a difference. Thanks kindly for your answer/help. M

Okay my reasoning
about this
is that
one on cable is going to be demanding 400 watts so you telling me right now
you never done that
come on man
My bad I got triggered look below so you can understand why

Hi Seb. Great video.. Thank you!. I was looking for your affiliate link for 24 pin splitter, 8 pin splitter, and the PSU Adapter. Do you have any? oh and your link to the risers is not working anymore.
