This is the future no doubt, but it lacks precision and control for now. It is an amazing tool for inspiration or for quickly generating assets, allowing artists to focus on the big picture and let the AI take care of all the technical details. I'm afraid it'll remain an expensive tech for a while though... The processing power required to generate these pictures is insane. Maybe in a few decades it will reach a point where it can completely replace artists but I don't think we're there yet, and even if the AI reach that point you'll always have to put the work to describe exactly what you want to see.. which may not be as simple as some people believe.

I still doubt if they will ever allow you to edit real human faces. It will be too realistic & dangerous in the wrong hands. Just think about how this will affect photo evidences in court. You could easily frame someone, like, easily.
I can smell future lawsuits from public figures against these AI apps/sites if they ever allow you to edit real human faces.
An experienced graphic designer or photographer will know when he's about to cross the line (they understand how copyright works), but a kid with 15 subscription who wants to be funny with the prompt won't know when he's crossing the line.

My humble 2 C: Like all new technology, AI is changing things dramatically. It is up to us to use it in the right way. We are still unable to translate human creativity into bits and bytes, but since AI can come up with some neat results, we have to rethink that. I always commend people who are unafraid and embrace brand new technology instead of running away from it. I myself like analog film, not because I cling onto the past, but because it looks better to my eyes, knowing full well that it's less than ideal for many an application.

Reading the comments I see a harsh reality. Many people have studied lighting and shading, colorimetry, perspective, etc. And they can't face the fact that everything that is related to logic today an AI can offer it in real time and with more precise calculations. Even Photoshop is dedicated to increasing AI assistance with each update, to the point where the ignorant can perform tasks previously limited to experts.
The more unique and special they think their abilities are, the harder the blow of reality will be.

i need dall-e 2. midjourney is good and creates some stunning looking images. but there's very often small parts of the image that i want to get rid of or alter slightly.. with some types of digital art i can actually do that myself.. but with lots of it i am just not skilled enough.. if AI can do it - great!!!

Earlier today I saw a post saying To replace artist with ai or robots, clients will have to accurately describe what they want Which we all know is damn near impossible for the clients, therefore I like our odds against AI. We're good!!

If you want to add to the background and you have a human face in it, all you have to do is temporarily mask it out, generate the image you want in dalle2 and then composite the two images in photoshop

Well, for midjourney it wanted us to pay for that to use it again. And the only way could find was creating a second account in Discord to use midjourney again. Perhaps this site be like that
