I can see it being good if you have to do bulk stuff that does not have to be perfect. Or maybe if you are struggling to recreate a face (im sure we all had those odd looking eyes, nose situations i know i have, normally do to angles) It could make a good base or reference. AI is getting scary though within 10 years its going to be very hard to justify doing some stuff manually. I'm already using it allot to do things i used to spend ages on. Same with blending tools i guess when they were not a thing and content aware.

Honestly as I appreciate tech upgrades, algorithm upgrades I am also scared because many concept artists and restoration artists (in this case) will surely have a drop in their business. With this click and drag sliders person doesn't really need to know anything even about the program nor art. Don't know... Guess in 50-100 years from now if we all ain't AI robots, we'll all be software engineeres...

I have the very latest version of Photoshop. When I downloaded the Ps Beta it didn't add the beta neural filter to my Ps program. I got a whole second 880 MB Beta copy of Ps. My obese hard drive and I are not too happy.
Tried the beta on an old B&W photo and it did a great job. A few tweaks and even better. Looked great on the screen but printed in B&W. I guess that why it's called Beta.

Looking at the child's partially missing nose, maybe you could fix that by lowering the opacity of the filter. It's strange how the process added character lines to make the child look like a middle age woman, but failed to do so with the soldier and made him look like he was about 14.

How do you use the neural filters on your device. On my computer it always needs to load the cloud, which takes forever.
Also, there is no restauration filter available, as well as many others (like scratch reduction) you described. I am using the trial.

Hi Unmesh, all the image that you have used is front facing can you try some faces which are not looking towards the camera or looking sidewise or in a different angle. I have found lots of AI don't do proper work while the faces are not front facing.

Looks great but I just opened Creative Cloud Desktop, clicked on Beta apps and it's not there. Nothing at all listed for Photoshop Beta apps. I'm using the latest Photoshop release, v23.5.0. Maybe they'll release Photo Restoration soon?

I wanted to dedicate myself to photo restoration and now I feel like almost everyone won't appreciate my work because they'll think they can do it themselves too. :( They already say you can do that on Remini . It's so frustrating.

Could you cut that challenging picture up into three different people and have the face restoration work on them individually and then re-stitch the whole th Iing back together again?
