Top 5 Best Streaming Devices

These are the best streaming devices for watching Netflix, HULU, Prime video and many other services. Phillip: Thank you for the interesting video. I am hoping you can answer a situational question for me. First I love and owned several older Tivo devices. Our community HOA has a new contract with Comcast who has implemented a new service set-up which has eliminated the cable card. The streaming service has only one stream at 720p which seems backwards to me. My question is do you know how or if I there is a TIVo solution to still get LIVE cable news ( I like CNBC and CNN ) AND record one while watching the other AND get HDTV? We can not cut the cord per se as it is part of our community, but we also don't have choice of cable company. Thank you!

Hi there , i am looking for an android box specifically to be used with an IR overlay touch screen. what would you reccomend specifically for gaming and lag ( for touch screen) what has the highest score for gaming? sorry i dont understand UX scores etc. i was looking at the h96 max but some people were saying that have seen s912 boxes perform better for games, which left me even ore confused! not looking to pay the price for an anvidia shied plus there are problems with having to use the controller to as a back/home button

Being real, the 300 Nvidia Shield Pro 500GB is the only Nvidia Shield that makes any sense, the non Pro only has 16GB basically forcing you to buy a USB stick (yeah no MicroSD slot). If you're not going to steal your content then I'd recommend either the 70 Roku Streaming Stick+ or 100 Ultra, both do a great job and you can control your TV's power and volume. However, if you're into being a Thief then just get the cheapest Amazon Stick and watch a couple YT videos.

I'm confused, these 5 gadgets gives you access to many different streaming media's like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon etc. I already have all those apps on my smart tv, DVR and satellite TV service. SO why would I need these external hardware devices? I have subscription to Amazon Prime and Netflix. I also have the Apple TV and Roku devices. Is it worth adding more media's like HULU and and others or am I just duplicating service? They seem they over lap?

When people think of streaming I don't think they think of games. They are looking for video TV. If I want to play games if use a console. So how do you think the shield is better than a Ultra? Console games are night and day better than a streaming device. Doe the shield have Forza 7 Ghost recon the new one. Wolf and then. My streaming device needs to do one thing well stream save the gimmicks.

Hi! I hear most people only talking about devices specialized mostly in streaming 4K from apps but many of these don't offer a good solution to play 4K from hard drives to your TV. And I'm talking about h265, hevc, 10bit and similar. It's a totally different price category of course (and actually overpriced) but what do you think about for example the egreat A11 or Dune solo 4K?

Don't buy one of these like I did in fact I purchased two of them and have had nothing but trouble with both boxes, Rveal replaced one at first but after the new one was sent it too failed and this time Rveal Support refuse to answer my emails, the boxes are basically cheap junk and the company is obviously run by unscrupulous people so BEWARE DON T BUY RVEAL TV BOXES

Apple TV and XBOX ONE should get honorable mention. I think both are better than a couple that you mentioned in this list. Also, I don't really like that you seemed to couple the 2nd gen and 3rd gen Amazon Fire TV as one pick. The 2nd gen had better connectivity and better codec support than the currently-available 3rd gen.

Mom wants something to watch Amazon video on her older TV. Something relatively inexpensive for TVs that don't have HDMI input, only RCA? Seems like everyone hates the new FireTV box. Was looking at the Roku Express+, but registration requires inputting a credit card number.
