Ready to see why the color of your pee might give you insight on why your workouts aren't building more muscle (GAINS? --NEW David: Ryan, can you do a video explaining how the body response to increased weight (lifted not gained? So here is the deal. I've been using a lot of your instructions to structure my workouts. I workout 6 days a week about an hour each day. This week I was feeling stronger so I increased the weight - and it is kicking my ass. So here is the question - what does science say when loads are increased? If the total lifted weight increases say by 10% what happens to A1C levels (assuming nondiabetic) and other markers? I know the muscles are growing and strengthening but wanted to understand the other health benefits of lifting more with more intensity.

I was taking in to much sodium. I was holding water. My right foot and leg were swelling. It was beginning to bleed over in my left leg as well. My family doctor told me to go on a 2100 sodium diet. I still think that's to much. I try to read what's on the package of what I want to buy. I've been sodium sensitive all my life. I try to buy food without sodium if I can because there's already sodium in the food. I like watching your videos.

What are your thoughts on Gatorade Zero? No processed sugar and only 5-10 calories max per bottle. I work outside in the Texas heat 8 hours a day, so i'm sweating my ass off and getting dehydrated fast. I drink tons of water, but water gets so boring to drink all day long, so i started giving regular Gatorade a try, but stopped because of all the sugar in it. One of my buddies recommended gatorade zero and honestly i love it.

Good job with the salt plug! Most temple are avoiding sodium because of the -dangers- but a salt free diet is baaaaadd. need -1000mg a day. BUT because of less salt, we are lacking iodine. Iodine is required for proper thyroid function. thyroid function directly affects METABOLISM. FYI restraints don't use ionized salt. foods have SOME, but we really need NaCl (table salt) and iodine daily

Hey I got a question I think you can answer well. So when we break down muscle we need nutrients (food) to build it back up right, when we fast for 24-72 hours, how does that affect that muscle building process? Does the muscle building stop completely? At the same time the longer you fast the more growth hormone you release so is that enough to compensate?

I-m in AZ as well and with all of the sweating in the gym and basically anytime I go outside, I feel like I need to drink a shit ton of water. I honestly had no idea that pissing clear was bad also since they preached about clear piss the whole time I was in the Army. I-ll make sure to keep an eye out and pay more attention, great video!

As a full time lumberjack doing maintence at power lines we walk about 18-25k steps daily, during hot summer days I'm usually taking a sea salt flake/himalaya salt rock every hour and don't drink too much (a lot of sips instead of pouring a half liter every break) cos you will only sweat it out after 10 min of work.

Dude, I'm also in Phoenix and have to drink tons of water. The problem? Like you-, I'm not not a 30 something anymore and I already have to pee far too often during the day! Damn prostate! Why didn't you address that point? Huh! LOL! Just another joy of aging.

Don't forget potassium - it's the electrolyte that gets into your muscles and drives contraction. I use a potassium - sodium replacement salt before or during the gym. It works great. Just don't overdo it, you can get cramps and even heart issues.
