ADVANCED Barbell Back Workout (GOOD LUCK)

going over some different barbell back exercises you probably haven't done before and throwing them into one workout. and it was rough. Couple things to note, you don't need a lot of weight to do these, in fact you'll get more out of them by using light weight and really contracting your back through the movement. Also I did these in the reverse order I normally do just to challenge myself. I wouldn't recommend everyone do it that way but if you're up for a horrible low back pump then go for it. Sets / Reps Complete Pause 3/4 Deadlift - 4 Sets / 15 reps Weird exercises I have no name for that blows up your mid back - 4 sets / 20 reps Reverse grip rows (with elbow in fixed position) - 3 Sets / 20 Reps High Elbow Parallel Row (close to wide grip) - 3 Sets / 20 Reps

Biomechanically speaking, you are spot on! This is what matters!
I feel that there are two broad schools of thought: one pitches on just moving the weight from point A to point B whereas the other thinks that it is essential and necessary to move weights with biomechanics and mind- muscle connect in mind.
Whatever you have said all your videos is most appropriate from the biomechanical and mind - muscle point of view. Keep up the good work Sir!

Big fat guy here. I just started doing your dumbbell stuff at home as my second workout. I don-t have the balls to do it at the gym. Some of the stuff is so weird im sure I look like a Manatee rolling around on the floor getting in position for some of them. They are definitely working though. I would love to see you teaching i guy my size on some of these videos. Thanks from big fat Chal. Your biggest Meg.

As always, funny, to the point and short. Love it. Just one little comment: i often try and mimic the exercises at the gym to get the technique down but the sections where you actually perform the exercise is often very short a couple seconds more woud be appreciated.
But again, i love the fact that in general the video's are to the point and short.

RH - Question about hamstrings (development & flexibility.
I have always had very tight hamstrings, though I stretch before all leg workouts and even do isometrics. It is my number one challenge as it limits my squat depth and sets me up for injuries. (minor tear in my piriformis from just one set of leg press.

Ryan has amazing flexibility and lower back strength. How he can go parallel doing this is amazing. But my advice is that anyone with lower back issues should avoid these. If you can-t do these without rounding your lower back I-d steer clear of them. I felt my lower back twinge just watching this video.

I just tried this at the gym tonight and I worked out for 6 yrs and I would say I am an advanced gym goer but these ones still kicked my ass almost blew out my lower back. Then half way through I realized that throughout the video he's only using 25 lbs while I was using 45. No wonder I felt like dying.

I would love to do some of these exercises but, unfortunately there's a disc in my lower back that likes to come out of his nook from time to time and when he does it's very difficult for me to put on underwear and pants or even roll over in bed for a few days.

Hey man your back is solid and you know your stuff. But, after taking a second glance at the thunbnail i noticed something off. Your spine does not appear straight. at all. And it looks like your muscles arent activating fully as it should.
