Having trouble sticking to a fat loss diet? You're not alone, most people do. This video should help get you out of your own way. I just felt like sitting in front of the camera and talking about some of the reason why most meal plans are setup to fail and have a few pointers on how to fix these common mistakes

I usually hate when bodybuilders give diet or nutrition advice because 99% of the time it-s either extreme, unpractical, unhealthy or just plain nonsense. This was spot on advice! Every individual is going to have a different diet that works for them and that they can adhere to because of their tastes, health issues or even ethnic or regional background. If your diet is not working it is almost always because you are not taking in the proper amount of calories for your goal. It-s very simple- to gain muscle you need to to have a caloric surplus, to lose fat you need to be in a caloric deficit. You can do it anyway you want; paleo, lowfat, balanced diet, high carbs, etc. Just ensure you get enough protein to keep your muscles fed, enough micro nutrients to stay healthy and enough fat or carbs (depending on your diet) to have enough energy to workout. Everyone-s metabolism and food preferences are different so it takes experimentation to find what works for you and mental discipline to continue on that path.

Great video as always Ryan! Thanks for your knowledge and fun filled videos.
Ok, this is a call for your knowledge.
I am 55, with bad shoulders (cannot do benches AT ALL, replaced hip with another looking squirrelly with four messed up discs in my neck. Yep, I am a mess from a older woman t-boning my car and from poor training techniques from the early 80s (more plates more plates.
So I am about 320, bmi off the charts (around 38. I do have mass and want to lean out. Target weight is about 255.
Can you tell me what the best amount of sets/reps are needed? 3x15 4x20?
While I know it-s going to take a long time, I don-t want to waste time in the gym with the wrong approach. I don-t need to load the bar anymore. Did that back in college. I want to work smarter not harder during my sessions.
Any perspective would be appreciated and thanks in advance!

I started the 20-4 intermittent fasting and lifting 5 x 5 (bend rows, squat, shoulder press, bench, press dead lift) every day as hard I can with -proper form and technique- dropped about 10 kg (22ish pounds) in about 2 weeks maybe, I don't keep track really, the fasting part is easy for me, I'm used to not having breakfast and not eating at work, so I just have hold my desire to eat something just a couple of hours a day, not following a strict diet or meal plan, I just eat whatever is on my plate by 10pm, hit the shower and got to sleep.
I'm leaner now (I used to be really skinny) and abs started to show a little, should I start supplementing with protein powders to grow?
Thank you kindly for your work!

Is this a troll video or what?
Never diet with will power which is why it fails
Take the meals which you like, try to reduce the calories by removing oil/ fat /condiments and adding more fibre and protein and just eat it, taste will be 80% of the original so what or
BUY THE FREAKIN COOkBOOK! ( you know which one )
If you want to get more lean and you want to use your will power then add in steady star Cardio 1 hr, 2 hr, 3hr, 4 hr or whatever it takes to get the dream body for stage
Or just be happy with the way you look
at 15- 20 % BF which is in the healthy range

Ltl advice if anyone has the time. im 40, 5ft 8in 125/130 if I don't exercise for a week or 2. I have Crohn's and Colitis. That being said. Id like to get some more muscle mass as I'm able to do 300 to 500 push-ups, 500 gut busters, 100 burgers, im extremely wrapped tight as far as metabolism. what can I try to eat put some muscle on that won't destroy my stomach? If I eat to much its 15/30 bathroom trips which is obviously a problem. Am I screwed for gaining with the stomach problem? Also I lost 70lbs about 10 years ago but can't seem to put it back on in even 5 lbs of muscle.

Hey, So are you familiar with the preworout -yeah buddy- well I wanted to try it like bad the main thing that got me was 400+ caffeine. I read the label on the warning sign and it said for 18 and up. Well I'm 16 and my brother is 18 even though he's older I'm physically stronger I bench 215 he benches 195. So could I take it too? Even though the lable says he can take it but because it was 18+ i figured if he can take it i coipd to because im stronger but idk. i know theres other supplements but i really like whats in this ronnie Coleman sup. Im just scared I'll die.

Can you go over how to make a solid meal plan for weight loss?
Ive lost a lot of weight doing keto where i mainly ate turkey and veggies but I was a fkin zombie from the training and eating the same 2-3 meals (at the time i didnt know anything about macros micros etc) and Im anemic now -_-
Ideally something thats healthy geared towards weight loss
(When I think healthy i think lots of veggies, bc I dont really know what healthy is other than cut sugar and just eat whole / grown foods)

Anyone have a legit simple meal plan they follow? I primarily eat:
Breakfast: Oatmeal, 3 eggs scrambled, coffee
Lunch: Grilled chicken and broccoli
Dinner: If I eat dinner, a salad
Water all day (with Kaged Muscle Hydracharge)
Gym 4-5 days a week
But I'll be damned if the scale ever goes down without jumping up two the next day. and I need to lose 50 lbs so it should be fairly easy. Nope

This might be the best one yet! It all applied to me, and I'm sure everyone here felt the same. Not sure why, but this guy's message just comes across loud and clear. Now instead of chasing the perfect split or macros, I watch these videos, pick up a life lesson, then Get After It. Guess what. I'm GROWING! Consistency and Effort. which I guess can be summed up in just one word. Discipline.

I only eat twice a day. 3 hard boiled eggs with salt and pepper in the morning and then I'm good till 6-7 pm for dinner of usually fresh chicken, beef or tuna. Yet I cannot lose any weight let alone the the dinner rolls covering my body. No soda or fast food. Once a month I go all out and order a pizza which I eat for the following 2-3 days. WHY THE DEUCE AM I STILL A LARD ASS?
