Ready to hit some legs and grow some quads? Started shooting an entire leg workout last night and I ended up getting my butt kicked on the hack squat so this entire video is dedicated to all the different variations I did. Let me know in the

I am watching, re-watching and watching again. I agree - sets and reps are not the answer. They are a starting point. If I go on feel alone though, I've walked out of the gym feeling like I could have done more for that body part but the next day I couldn't move I was so sore. So -feel- wasn't the answer that day. How do you know you've adequately stimulated a muscle to call that workout done?

-Ryan H. : is this effect on the quads achievable on a leg press machine? I have switched to leg presses or one leg training exercises to avoid too much weight loaded on my spine. As I get older (54 now, I try to avoid spine compression as much as I can. Thanks for your great advice on your videos. They are short, concise and straight to the point. Cheers.

Used a Swiss ball against my back at the wall, holding bar behind old-style, 10 sec. ecc, 10sec. in the hole, :10 conc, not to full extension, 5 reps smoked my quads. Next two sets only 4 reps. Crazy burn in the quads. Talk about TUT. OUCH. Only used 60 lbs. Nice addition. Improvise, adapt. (There's no hack squat machine in my apartment)

I want to thank you for virtually kicking my ass! ive bulked up so fast within the past month than ive ever had! Changed my workout routine based on your advice and its working great for me! especially 3/4 reps and mostly doing workouts that i have better mind-muscle connection, and just sticking to those!

Was the weight you were using simply for video purposes so that the pseudo-superheroes don't try going heavier than they should, or does that weight allow you to do 30-rep sets? Thanks for all your content, Ryan. IMHO, you provide the best and most enjoyable lifting content available. Cheers!

I still enjoy your videos but I've noticed that you don't sprinkle in the smart a## comments anymore now that you are blowing up. That's a shame because, while you definitely offer pro level advice, that was what I felt set you apart and I related to it. Anyway. thanks for the training info!

Seriously. i always watch your leg workout before my leg day. Not because for inspiration but for motivation. The thing is i hate leg day so much that it takes around 2 days for me to set my mind that i will do leg workouts because i know my inner child is going to curse me again.

Ryan, I finally figured out what you have been saying about intensity today with leg day. I all but crawled out of the gym! Great workout and for the first time pushed myself to a different level. I look forward to seeing a new level of results and I appreciate your guidance!

Sir, I have always trained, weights, martial arts, etc. However, due to blunt force trauma, I have a lack equilibrium. I have to hang onto something to keep from falling. I am 69 years old and refuse to quit. Any advice would be appreciated. Love your videos.

That's great advice. I can't wait for the gym to open. My right leg is shorter than my left. If I put my legs close together on any squatting movement I get pain in my hips. I have to do everything with a sumo style. What can I do to hit the outer head more?
