Head lifting instead of just rotating to side. I have even been told to look a little backwards or to point the chin a bit towards my clavicle to make the proper wake. Difficult to kick properly if you cannot point toes. Stretch daily and use Zoomers to gradually increase pointing. Use a small float between legs to not develop bad arm habits as the result of a bad kick. As your feet become more able to point you will not need float.

Hello,
I have struggled with breathing in freestyle for years. Whatever I'm doing wrong has caused me injuries to the point where all I'm comfortable with is the breaststroke. Everything else I do in the freestyle is correct except breathing. People who have watched me over the years have said I'm taking the breath to soon. I don't know how to fix it, but I will try some of your drills. Thank you. :-)

defo lifting head for taking a breath
came back to swimming after years of doing it as a kid and i have to say i am not as comfortable as i once was being in the water
breathing seems a lot harder (probably due ot being so out of shape xP)
but i flick my head back and forth above the water as such end up winded from only a handful of laps
gonna try these and give an update
thumbs up!

Dear Sir, I still have a challenge related to the position of my mouth. After I inhale the air from my mouth, what should my mouth be in when I return my head to the water, should my mouth start excreting bubbles directly? Or should it be closed and a little after my head is in the water start blowing bubbles

For those of you who find the panic attacking when you swim in depth always remember
No matter how much water u have beneath your feet, your head will always be 10 cm under the water.
This helped me a lot. I hope it helps someone out there

I think #1 the low elbow arm stroke is the most important mistake because since the arm movement is primarily responsible for propelling you forward, you need that perfect stroke first and foremost.

Really appreciate the demonstration of the bad techniques! (I imagine that would be farily counter-intuitive for someone who really knows how to swim well, haha)

Really never learned how to swim since I was a kid. Wish I could swim as good as my mother who grew up in a province near the sea and can swim against a wave.

i think the kicking method is my mistake because my leg easily tired after swimming using freestyle. Does using vertical kicking help to relaxing my leg?

Grateful for this video. Many thanks. I practiced elbows and breaths today and I could swim all the 50 metres without having to change style for breath.
