I had foot surgery 7 weeks ago. Been on bed rest since. Non weight bearing for one more week. The atrophy of my left calf is mind blowing. I was a mailman and walked a good 15 miles a day 6+ days a week. Looking for ways to regain some of that lost mass I had no luck being that I cant put any real weight on it. The seated calf raises - so obvious but didnt even come to mind even tho I can feel the tensions and fatigue that sets in just from moving my ankle up and down. Great video thank you!

I landed here because I went to the basketball park this afternoon and a dude could really jump. And I remember a dude in high school who could jump as well. I noticed that their calves look alike. The lower part of their calves, the part covered by the socks, are large.

For beginners, I am finding doing some of these exercises in my office chair is right on. All of these years I have been just sitting there and I could have done calf exercises in my office chair: )

Thanks. Lots of ideas to find what suits you. Love the simple tip toe style ones. So does walking in heels strengthen calves too? And do the exercises help you walk better in heels?

Thanks for the amazing video I can already see my calves getting thicker and bigger. One months in and now doing each exercise 3 times for hipertrophy.

Can you do a video on getting better ankle strength? I have very flexible feet and joints. but they aren-t as strong as they should be.
