The biggest thing that helped me keep off weight is going whole food-plant based, but I didn't do it for weight loss. I did it to lower serum cholesterol, and now it's below 150 mg/dl total, which is ideal. Also, I very carefully track foods, and once learned it doesn't take a lot of work. I have a scale and measure in grams. I don't exercise regularly, but I want to for better health. Within 2 months I will have a 29. 5- waist, and that is my goal. Whole food-plant based naturally removes most calorie dense foods, including all oils, meat, and dairy, refined foods. Healthy, whole carbohydrate foods are allowed.
There are a wide range of recipes and foods available and there is no suffering compared to the standard diet. Tastes become acclimated. However, having temptation around the house is a no-go. Getting rid of all disallowed foods is a key to success.

Some people struggle with heritary family genetic medical issues as well. Example, diabetes even thyroid problems.
Over weighing some food calories are also the culprit too. Like the avocado. If pile on three layers of the avocado on one slice of toast can easily become bad vs good.
My trainer has shown me this and I've managed to lose weight by minimizing the amount of what I like without overpiling that Can cause weight gain.

Hi another great inspirational video!
My wife is looking to get fit and lose weight but tends to get board with exercising one way I. e just running or rowing. would it be an idea to introduce the micro hacks package to her. It appears very well thought out I would like her to see it for what it is and would like some feedback from those that have tried it, especially those in UK but all replies welcome -

My main problem is eating enough protein. I am no real meat eater and fish is not a every day thing. I am not one to eat a lot of cheese or Joghurt etc. Basically everything with protein I only eat in really moderate quantities which makes it kind of hard. 1 Proteinshake per day is okay, but with two I am fed up quite fast with the taste- pasta and bread on the other hand I could eat in tremendous amounts: (

Tracking is a great way to understanding where the calories and other nutrients come from. It isn-t practical forever but it-s great to come back to to stay on track. Over time, one can start to know what meals should -look like- and not need tracking for the rest of one-s life. Even just a food log(without details) is so helpful.

I seem to be the other way. The scale has been dropping but my measurements are staying the same. My stomach hasn't shrunk at all despite loosing 15 pounds so far. Small change in waist and thigh but nothing in stomach or hips. Not sure where all that weight came from since my clothes don't fit any different.

I've been tracking my calories, been doing strength training (powerlifting, body building) + some LISS/moderate cardio 4-5 times a week for over 3 years, my weight or even pretty much body composition has pretty much been the same throughout: / I feel like there's no way I can get my body fat to come down.

Which app do you use to track calories in the video please? I don't like the idea of my data being collected so I use a spreadsheet, but that is not as efficient.
And that grey warehouse complex looks like a secret government lab. What goes on there?

You look fabulous. Way to go. And I-m in day 3 of tracking which I haven-t done before. I have done everything else under the sun. I-m finding tracking to be an eye opener. This video is spot on and very informative and valuable. I needed this.
