Start saving now and planning in a few years you can do it! We do a lot of little things to save money to travel. We don't have cable (saves $100 a month, we only have 1 car (saves a lot of money, my wife cooks all the time at home (no restaurant bills, and those little things add up. Yes it sucks not having cable or going out to restaurants a lot, but now I know I am going to get to china this summer (a dream of mine) and I don't feel so bad not seeing all the sports on tv: ) YOU CAN DO IT!

I read/heard somewhere just recently that if Monument Valley weren't on the Navajo Reservation, it would actually be a national park. I just bring this one up because it's not on the list--Canyonlands in Utah. It's 3 parks in 1, and is huge--nearly 100 miles/160k long, with amazing wilderness areas and dark skies at night. Arches also, not only for the beauty, but for the uniqueness-- around 2000 natural stone arches.

Great list, but I must say that Zion National Park is the most unique and my favorite. Red sand that stays cool and soft on the trails, the massive red mountains that surround you and Angels Landing, my favorite hike of all time. I will go back one day to hike The Narrows there

Thanks! We were trying to price RV rentals and could only get some starting prices and all I thought was. it might be cheaper to buy: ) but yeah, we are looking into an RV across America trip for summer 2014. Should be fun! Thanks again. Hope all is well!

The Tetons are a favorite of mine. Truth be told I have been to most of the National Parks and a good amount of National Monuments and State Parks across the USA and have never once been disappointed! I live in the best country in the world!

Ahh great video! I am a Floridian myself, and we drove to the Great Smokey Mtns during spring break, and we stopped at Alabama Little River Canyon! If it is on your way, take a look! So much wildlife to see! Cheers! x

In Alaska, there's also Denali National Park. It's a great one if you want to see some great sights like Mt/ McKinley (highest point in North America, moose, bears, and arctic tundra.
