Join me today onboard the Jungle express in First Class from Chiang Mai all the way down to Bangkok. The journey will take around 13 hours covering close to 500 miles - it will give me the chance to show you all the features of this new sleeper train. There are two levels of service offered, Second Class sleepers and First Class sleeper cabins. Only First cabins have access to showers of which I'll try out and let you know my thoughts. This train has quite a famed dining car. but you'll find out why food today is well, quite non existent. I'll also break down the cost for this adventure - which may surprise you given the cost of similar overnight trains in Europe or indeed Amtrak in the USA. As always with my trip reports and reviews, do let me know what you think - is this a rail journey you'd like to take? 0: 00 - Intro 1: 00 - Chiang Mai Station 3: 30 - 2nd Class 4: 43 - 1st Class 6: 45- Bedtime 9: 00 - The Shower 10: 48- The Top Bunk 11: 41 - Bangkok Station

Bro, who told you getting on the top bunk was funny? Somebody did you wrong, my man.
That-s cheesy af and you come off as fake, specially when you say you-re gonna -attempt- to go down, when you obviously went up and down again just to move your camera around.
You have a great life and you get to travel the world, but your videos are so predictable.
You use the same cheesy B roll walking towards or away from the camera, the same shots drinking something and looking away like you didn-t just turn on the camera and started recording yourself.
Also- NASA, Timbs, caviar and Champagne -

Definitely not for me Will. No dinner no journey. I certainly hope the orient express fed you better. I have traveled on trains without food but at least I could buy food from the platform when the train stopped. Again you display plenty of courage and heroism traveling a long journey without food. I hope you asked for a partial refund.

Hey, I know I'm a couple days late, but if you're lucky, can you try the airline La Compaigne from EWR to ORY (or the other way around. They're a very interesting airline, with cheap tickets. And did I mention that every seat is business class? I haven't been able to find a review on them thats all that good. Maybe you could try it out?

Playing the national anthem before a train depart? What next? Making a pledge of allegiance, hand over heart, before taking a dump? Blasting the national anthem when birthing a child so that the glorious anthem is the first thing the baby hears? This is quite fascist!

We still have many of the older sleeper trains running south from Bangkok to Surat Thani and beyond. Can still buy beer, have food delivered or eat in the restaurant car and most importantly still hang out the door for a smoke. -

I am confused by you calling this the jungle train. Isn't it the regular Chiang Mai - Bangkok route? There is a Jungle Railway, but it is in Malaysia, taking you to the East where you can cross into Thailand at Tumpat.

I am sorry if you cannot abide the rule of No alcohol on this train, then you might look at why you are not able to go a few hours without this beverage.

I love these videos. You might wanna invest in a LAV mic or something though, just so we can hear you better when you're not doing voice over.

This is so crazy! I am currently in Bangkok and I was just on this train about 3 days ago walking through this same train station!
