The airline Biman is not subpar. I still have memories of travelling with them on their 737 and 787 from London to Sylhet to Dhaka to Kuala Lumpur. The genuine cuisine and welcoming atmosphere distinguish Biman from other airlines. Unfortunately, delays and problems with grammatical English communication with their cabin passengers are factors that affect Biman's brutality. I am confident that Biman can improve in those aspects.

The bad reviews lowered your expectation so much, that when they didn't happen you thought Biman wasn't so bad.
Biman was bad, very bad. Only reason I know people fly Biman from UK is because most of the passengers go to Sylhet and Biman is the only airline that goes there directly.
But now with the new planes things are better

I am delighted with a positive feedback and videos such as this and hope it gives Biman the boost it needs to restart some of the routes it lost over the years especially from the US. A direct flight from NY to Dhaka would be great as it will save travellers time.

Hi Noel! I will have a one hour transit i Dhaka later this year, arriving with TK fro IST, continuing to BKK with Thai (both flights on the same ticket. But I don't really understand how the visa situation works. Do I need a transit visa or do you just stay in the international terminal hence no visa required?

Premium experience reserved only for business and executive class. Economy class is where you might start to see where the bad ratings came from, also the immigration officials behaviour and exiting airport with your luggage intact for a local person can be frustrating as hell.

Tbh you didnt really need to be very careful about the headphones. Theres a core issue in Bangladeshis especially from the lower middle class to treat others property like absolute dogshit which is why Biman had to take action.

As long as you listen to cabin crew and dont act as if it's your dad's plane you'll be fine and enjoy the journey to Bangladesh. The moment you step out of line get ready to have your head kicked in by cabin crew.

This will be an interesting trip! As I recall, Biman was the last passenger airline to operate the DC-10! Of course last flight was quite a few years ago.

My nearest experience (so far) with Biman was with the last ever scheduled DC-10 flight from of the UK. But work called, so I missed the blimmin chance.
