Back in the day. I worked for an EAS airline back in 1980-1984 GQ Big Sky Airlines. We flew out of BIL Billings Montana. We flew Swearingen Metroliners and Cessna 402's. We were a SMALL airline. We flew from MSP Minneapolis to CAL Calgary. Our planes were so impressive that every seat was a window seat and every seat was also an aisle seat. As one copilot said For those of you in first class, the left side of the plane you can see the lake. For those of you flying coach, the right side of the plane you can't see the lake. Best 4 years of my life.

I visited Prescott, AZ in 1989 during my bicycle trip across North America. I described it as the nicest town I've been in since before the Rockies. A lot better than John Prescott.
I've only been in a CRJ-200 once, from Munich to Sofia. And yes, the windows are too low down - and I'm almost a foot shorter than you! But the seat was really comfy. I'm a bit surprised you didn't mention that.

I thought I had stepped into a parallel universe, seeing the service on the first flight. I need not have worried, normal service was resumed on the leg from Prescot to LA. Having flown United a lot, I have always found the them to grumpy, disinterested whatsits! When compared to Emirates, Qatar and Asian airlines, well, there is no comparison. Thanks for suffering on our behalf, Noel. :-)

I would take the 737 over the CRJ -200 even if the situation were reversed and it was the CRJ-200 that had the direct flight for two hours and it was the 737 that had the enroute stop and took four hours. CRJ has vinyl covered park benches for seats, the windows are too low, they have cramped seating, and are subject to delays due to APU failure.

I don't travel as much as you but I take about 6 round trips a year. That translates into about 20 legs or so each year. I've never been on a flight where we had to de-ice. I guess I've just been lucky? :/ Anyway, that was cool to see Prescott's airport. It reminded me of Stornaway airport on the Isle of Lewis.

If you consider covering another EAS airport, please come to Crescent City on the Pacific CA/OR border. I've only lived here 7 years and we've already been through 3 carriers in that short time (with droughts in-between. But I will say, with the ocean and the redwoods, a bit more scenic than Prescott, Arizona!

great video like always mate but can you tell me what was that plane doing low flying over yours when you were taking off 4. 19 it looked like he was about to land but seemed high for landing or was he landing on the other side of denver? i've heard its the biggest airport in the states is it not?

Ive been a FA for both Commuter/Regional and a Major Airline. I liked working for a Refional better. The Refional I worked for operated the EMB-120 ATR-42 ATR-72 and the ERJ-145 I wasnt a fan of the 145 I wish they operated the CRJ even though I never got to work on a CRJ however I liked it as a passenger

Just had an idea for some trips you can do mate! How about some obscure airports / flights? Id be particularly interested in flying in/out of tiny airfields in Greenland and Siberia, Ushuaia & Andes, tiny pacific islands etc. Have a walk round too! Like your Faroe Islands clip, that was great

I love the CRJ, it's fun being able to get on and off using the stairs like in the old days! :) And the smaller the plane, the quicker to de-board. I can see how the windows would be a problem for taller people though, I'm 5'5. 5 and didn't really notice a difference.

I so much agree with you on the CRJ-200 Windows. I have a problem with them and I wish they were higher. Biggest complain about the CRJ-200. I call the CRJ-200 Pocket Rockets I do believe you are taller then I am I am 5'10 and I hate the windows

I've got a crj200 flight with Delta coming up soon and even though I've gone for the Comfort+ seat it sounds like it won't be that great of a trip. At least it's just my connection to an A321 flight which is my first time on an airbus.

Late seeing this one Noel, but I really hope you check out some more of the western US Essential Air Service (and recently graduated) cities. Arcata, Moab, Cody, Pendleton, etc. Lots of cool little towns, with more friendly people!

On the honour systems, Dublin has had this for a good few years, a euro for a bottle of water, its handy when youre stuck as you can always pay it forward when you have the change and then take a bottle a different time.

I'm surprised they allow smoking. I haven't been on a flight that had a smoking section in years and years. Might be because I'm traveling between Asia and North America and only connecting to flights with larger plans.

There is Susie's Skyway Restaurant at the Prescott Regional Airport. It was on the other side of the TSA security check. Only open until 2 pm though. BTW this is the old terminal, the new one was opened on March 30.

You are right when you say the CRJ is bumpy--it's because the wings are so small and the engines are at the back--it means they don't absorb and dampen the movement--ANOTHER reason the 200 is hated

I really feel that you should start flying more in economy rather than business class as not only does it give people a view on what to expect, but most people fly on economy class too.

I've used an honour system to get a bottle of water at Stansted before, cheekily only paid a euro instead of a pound though, surprised you saw the no smoking sign off, that's so odd
