How I Flew Transatlantic FIRST CLASS Cheaper Than Economy! Olivier: Congratulations on your 1000th flight. That's almost as many hours as an airline pilot.
One small caveat though In economy class you can find much cheaper than $1300.
The direct Istanbul - New-York flight costs around 650 with Turkish airlines, and for backpackers I found a flight at $412 on Air Serbia with a stopover in Belgrade, for a total journey time of 15 hours.
But I agree that the price of first class is incredible (5 times less expensive than Turkish first class on a direct flight, with the icing on the cake of a week in the Dominican Republic (for information, a round-trip Houston-Punta Cana flight costs $600.

I also wanted to let you know, out of all the bloggers.
You are my favorite, you have a playful sense of humor and nothing snobby about ur attitude. As a few are rather self important and look down their nose even when in F.
You never do and take whatever comes with a-plum, and what you see is what you get & ur pleasant with staff & crews, yet not schmoozing rt up their butt hole - ha
And ur loo reviews are funny and irreverent.
Thx for ur oft exhausting and blogging w/ a bit of humor!
Thx again & cheers!

Congrats on your 1000th flight! And how ironic it was that it was the same terminal when you did your first flight! Pretty awesome! I love living vicariously through you and your fights to different countries around the planet. :) That TWA hotel was insane! So FANCY! Thank you for what you do.

Congrats on your 1000th fight, and especially on doing it in style! I traveled for business (based out of the USA) from 1980-2017 (retirement. I flew a LOT but never tracked the number of flights. I would LOVE to know! It's awesome that you tracked yours and could celebrate appropriately.

I'm trying relentlessly to figure out what your videos are actually about and what is the purpose of these videos. I cannot figure it out, so I will stop watching your senseless videos. I actually have to take a shower after watching any of your videos.

Mate I totally get that it's good to be polite, but why apologise to the guy at the First Class BA lounge for being a hassle, when he should be apologising to you for turning you away in the first place and then have to try again for a 2nd time!

I flew out of the TWA terminal at JFK back in the early 90's on a TWA 747 to FCO. It was almost as old as the flight attendants on the flight. A concorde was parked at the next gate over. Such a contrast of aircraft. Great memories.

Congratulations on 1000 flights. I enjoy your videos much more due to your commitment to showing the economy classes across the world, its really interesting to see - so youve very much deserved a first class treat!

That BA lounge attendant was incredibly rude. The man cant even take the effort to look up at who whos speaking too. And even more so did it to cower when you came back with the American attendant.

My first ever flight was on a Vanguard from Edinburgh to London BEA in the mid 70's! My father was an aviation/transport geek and before he died was the CEO of a bus/coach transport company.

Amazing that you were able to track all 1, 000 flights that you've done. Even more amazing that Flight 1, 000 departed from the same exact terminal as Flight 1. What an achievement for you
reply

Congrats! Its a shame with what is going on with the world at the moment that you cant relive that London to Moscow flight. Perhaps that could be 1500 if the conflict is resolved!

Ive never even flown once and the fact that youre on your 1000th is just wild to me. Never ceases to be amazing just what weve been able to accomplish for travel: )
reply

Congrats! If I may ask, what flight stats website or app are you using that you show in the first minute of the video? It doesn't look like FlightRadar24's
reply

I really love how respectful and unentitled your attitude towards travel is and how you treat the staff, your love for aviation really shines through

Which website did you use to find this combined 3 segment flight? Did you choose to search for business class flight and it showed a better option?
reply

Any tips on how to find these flights? Did you just randomly search destinations or is there a way to spot crazily cheap first class flights?
reply

As much as I like the idea of what you do. I not sure I could go on some of those dodgy airlines you go on so we dont have to. Keep it up Noel
reply

Perhaps your were not very welcome at the BA lounge due to your dress attire as well as you were flying on American. the computer says no.
