I Didn’t Expect THIS Flying on New Zealand’s Little Known Airline You should consider flying with Stewart island flights at the bottom of the South Island of New Zealand, it’s a small airline that connects the South Island to Stewart island and operates out of Invercargill airport with daily flights to Stewart island. Their fleet consists of two bn2a islanders, one pa32, and one Cessna 185. The main flight is about 10-20 minutes from Invercargill to Oban (the only town on Stewart island)

Thanks for the video, Noel. There is no such thing as some far out place in Africa. Africa is not a dark continent anymore. Every town has a name (European names at times) and every airport and airline featured in Noel's videos has a name. I have met several white folks, just like the pilot who flew the first sector in this video, who think Africa is some far out place. No, it is not. I have watched this video and am typing this comment from Kampala, Uganda. We have paved roads and internet connectivity here so please take note.
Back to Noel's travel experience. the cockpit seat is every avgeek's dream. That was really nice of Pilot Liam, bless him!

Crossing open water in a single engined plane had me hesitating to say I'd do that but NZ does have a good safety record. Wonderful opportunity to have both an aisle seat and a window seat! Many years ago i had that advantage when Air North was flying a Metroliner from Darwin to Dili.

Today I was walking on the road n the driver of a car passed so close to my fingers n toes that for a few seconds I was zapped. I then broke into a barrage of the most filthiest language. They r barbaric n bhedia(wolves)Dad must be talking of their mentality, who knows.

Noel, I know you're a pilot but when you look at these small planes and all the equipment that's a board and then you think about all the amateur flyers and then the accident that happened on the Cessna, most amateurs should not be touching a plane this complicated

NZ is fabulous! I seem to remember that Wellington runway has sea at both ends - do not overshoot! If I was 50 years younger, I would love to live in NZ. What a special trip to get onto the flight deck to observe everything, very generous of the friendly staff.

Everything about New Zealand is great. Like, it's heaven on earth! And the people are so friendly. I wish I could move there, and the south island is just. wow!
But I'm fairly confident that was $194 NZD and $115 USD. NZ dollar isn't worth more than US

Entertaining as always! Really enjoyed this review. Beautiful scenery. Great wines from there. So nice of them to upgrade your dear! Really impressed. It must have been thrilling. New Zealand is gorgeous. The people seem very friendly.

noel, awesome video. fly into gisborne airport in NZ. it has a railway line going across the runway. its a rather quaint airport. very rural. if you get a chance too, fly into newcastle waters cattle station, in the northern territories

Hey Noel and family! Another amazing video. The countries and cities that you visit give many of us a glimpse of what we’d probably never see without you. The airline videos are superb too! Thank You so much. : -)

I had an incredible time in Wellington. It was bright and sunny and absolutely stunning. I went with some friends to a hilltop botanical garden and restaurant. We took the cogwheel train and had fantastic views.

That was some honor riding in the flight deck. The view was spectacular. The only thing you can’t do on the PC-12 is do a _loo review_, but hey, that was a super cool ride which more than makes up for it.

Another awesome review of Sounds Air (new one on me) and the service was first class from the interaction from the ground staff to Captain Liam giving you an upgrade. Your fame knows no boundaries.

2: 42 if New Zealanders had a penny for every LOTR joke they heard, they’d all have Smaug’s Treasure lovely trip with soundsair - flying over Middle-Earth up front must have been an awesome treat!

I love NZ. On one trip we took a flight up to a glacier with Mount Cook Ski Planes in a Cessna 185, I got the front seat for that, great experience with the skis being wound down manually.

great vis as usual! a small detail, you flipped the usd and the nzd (or kiwi dollars) prices, as the us dollar is worth more than new zealand's, but it happens
reply

That is cool he let you up front. Good time to get a new rating if you dont already have one. Question is your UK or US pilot license good in New Zealand
reply

great vid Noel, surely you got the conversions mixed up at the end though NZD hasnt been stronger than USD in. forever Sounds air though, what an airline.

Fantastic. on a pc 12 older version ideal for those routes. The PC 12 was originally designed for the flying doctors service in Australia from Broken hill.

Beautiful friendly Sounds Air staff will definitely fly with them instead of Air NZ next time I am down there but wow will have to leave my didg at home
