My husband and I were surprisingly impressed with the he beauty of northeastern Alabama when we spent 10 days camping and exploring the area. It s definitely on our list to revisit spending more time exploring the area even more. We didn t know much about the area when we planned a camping trip to the Lake Guntersville campground. We just wanted a place where we could see some fall foliage that wasn t too far of a drive from our home in Orlando. We absolutely fell in love with the area.

So looking forward to this set of videos! I have done a couple of sections of the Pinhoti and am planning for more. Next one in Alabama for you should be the Sipsey Wilderness. Not a true thru hike, but you can easily spend a week to 10 days there exploring all of the trails. Beautiful waterfalls and the largest tree in the state! Enjoy the Pinhoti!

Starting where it does has me contemplating doing a section (since it's only 30 minutes from the family who can shuttle me down there) Looking forward to the new content for the fall and the lovely Ballybama back country.

Didn't know you was a Bama girl, I live in Greensboro. I am building up to the hiking challenges, right now I am doing the Oak Mountain State Park and Tannerhill. Enjoy your videos and as always be safe and happy trails.

These sites make me homesick for North Alabama. I love the rivers, woods, and hills. I m gonna have to do this after I get home from the AT. Thanks for sharing Dixie! Stay on the path! Monk

I wish I could venture out right now. But the Cascades are already getting snow and I'm not equipped for that this year. Can't wait for spring.
